Comics#17

Arashikage Clan history:
Centuries ago the Jewel of Amaterasu was bestowed to the Emperor's general, who formed a clan to protect this Jewel, that clan became the Arashikage Clan.
Omikana Clan were the fierce rivals of Arashikage Clan until Bakufu (Japan's ruling military class) lead by Oda Nobunaga began squashing the Ninja clans, including the most powerful one Iga. After years of war, the Omikana Clan disappeared & the Arashikage Clan became farmers.
The Jewel of Amaterasu allows the user to harness all chi that surrounds them, the force of life itself. This Jewel is so powerful and dangerous that it had to be hidden and protected for centuries. Omikana Clan & Arashikage Clan formed a truce and a pack to hide the Jewel of Amaterasu from the powerful Nobunaga and men like him. The Omikana Clan would hide & protect the Scroll of Tokagura, which identifies the temple the Jewel is at and the Arashikage Clan would pass on the living map called the Kata (a series of secret fighting moves) that reveal the actual placement of the hidden Jewel once at the correct temple. The Kata is so secret that if any non Arashikage Clan member ever saw it they would have to be killed.
Summary
At the Omikana Ninjadera Museum, a tour of an old temple is being lead by a funny tour guide. Two of the tour members sneak off to a closed part of the temple. Where they rip open a part of the floor revealing the Scroll of Tokagura, then they kill the tour guide & make off with the Scroll. On the side of the scroll is the symbol of the Arashikage Clan.
Snake-Eyes & Scarlett meet up with Jinx & Nunchuk in Kyoto, Japan after receiving a strange message about the Scroll of Tokagura. Scarlett asks where Storm Shadow is and Jinx responses with "I couldn't get a hold of my traitor cousin." After meeting up, they head off unaware they were being watched.
In Chicago, Heavy Duty is pinned down by Zarana & Thrasher, he has just interrupted a deal going on with a street gang leader named Angelo. Angelo and his bodyguards are quickly & mysterious taken out. Then Thrasher is knocked out as is Zarana. Kamakura has shown up to save Heavy Duty. Just after this is finished Kamakura receives a message to leave for Togakushi.
Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Jinx & Nunchuk are in Jinx's condo in Shiga, Japan. Out of nowhere they are attacked by an unknown group of ninjas. Each Joe fights and wins their battle. Snake-Eyes' Arashikage arm tattoo is revealed during the fighting. One of the ninja's notices the tattoo and stops fighting claiming to be from the Omikana clan, friends of Arashikage Clan. Soga, the ninja who is captured, begins to tell the history between the Omikana Clan & the Arashikage Clan. And the truce they made to hide the Scroll of Tokagura and the power behind it. Just as Soga is finished with his history lesson he is shot by a sniper, but just before dying he gives them the Scroll. Jinx looks at the map on the Scroll, which sends them to a closed Omikana temple in the Togakushi Mountains.
The Joes arrive at the temple in full battle mode. They have a discussion about where Storm Shadow is and can he be trusted. The temple is empty. They find the mirror that is the starting point for the Kata. Before Snake-Eyes starts the Kata, Scarlett is blindfolded to protect her. The rules of the Kata state that once it has begun it can't be altered no matter what is in the way. As Snake-Eyes performs the super secret Kata he is forced to kick through several statues, and finally after many maneuvers the Kata has returned him to his starting spot which was facing the mirror. The final action is in the Kata is the dragon fire, a series of extremely fast punches. Snake-Eyes does the dragon fire directly into the mirror, the mirror is destroyed, and it sets off a chain reaction that opens a hole in the floor.
Inside the hole is a couple of large statues of dragons and in the hand of the dragon is the Jewel of Amaterasu. Just as Snake-Eyes approaches an arrow flies by him. And Soga, returning from the dead, reveals himself at the top of the hole in the floor. He drops a knock out gas inside the hole. Soga takes the Jewel from Snake-Eyes hand. As he returns to the top of the hole, Kamakura has arrived to fight him and his clan's ninjas. Soga escapes in the middle of the fight with the Jewel.
The Arashikage clan members arrive at Jinx's ski lodge to regroup. Kamakura tells them about the mysterious message to come to Tokakushi. Which none of the group sent to him. Nunchuk also reveals he has a pretty serious wound that needs attention. So as they enter the lodge, a figure is all ready sitting inside.
Storm Shadow has been waiting for them. Snake-Eyes immediately attacks, but Storm Shadow quickly avoids and pleads for them to listen. Jinx reassures Snake-Eyes that Storm Shadow still values the Arashikage Clan very highly, and they should listen.
Storm Shadow explains:The Nichira Clan had been a former ninja clan that became focused on corporate and financial gains. That has recently changed. Soga is actually the leader of the Nichira Clan, not the Omikana Clan, and the mysterious message, the fake attack, the fake death, and getting Snake-Eyes to perform the Kata, where all part of the plan so Soga could get the Jewel of Amaterasu. Storm Shadow had figured a lot of this out and was able to stay one step ahead of the rest of the Arashikage Clan.
At the Nichira headquarters, Soga has gone through the ritual of the Jewel of Amaterasu. He now wants to test his new power. He asks for challengers. None of his clan steps forward. But Storm Shadow does.
As Storm Shadow and Soga fight, Jinx, Snake-Eyes & Kamakura are scaling the outside of the high rise. Soga keeps trying to use the power during the fight, and nothing happens. Storm Shadow bests him, and gives him a chance to redeem himself. Instead, Soga orders his clan members to kill Storm Shadow. Still the power of Jewel of Amaterasu escapes Soga. Storm Shadow reveals that he was able to get the Jewel before his clansmen and replace it with a fake. And that fake, which is the one Soga has around his neck, contains explosives that are activated by a button on Storm Shadow's sword. Which he pushes causing the explosive to go off killing Soga. The rest of the Arashikage Clan arrive just as the Nichira Clan is attacking the solo Storm Shadow.
A serious battle takes place as the Arashikage Clan members try to fight there way out of the building. After Snake-Eyes makes a hole in the floor to escape to a lower level, and in a very dramatic fashion clears out a stairway filled with Nichira. They are then completely surrounded, Snake-Eyes is seriously injured & there is no escape.
Just as the Nichira Clan is about to finish off the Arashikage Clan, the top part of the building explodes. Snake-Eyes, Kamakura & Jinx are knocked out and awaken outside the building. Storm Shadow had the real Jewel of Amaterasu all along and used its power to save them. Snake-Eyes and Nunchuk's wounds were instantly healed, and all of the Nichira Clan members are gone.
At Mt. Fuji, Storm Shadow stands near a very large hole. This hole is created using the power of the Jewel. He then buries the Jewel of Amaterasu in the hole and commands the Jewel to conceal itself. All of this in order to prevent men like Soga and Cobra Commander from ever getting to use the power of the Jewel of Amaterasu.

The Joe team (Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Inferno, Snake Eyes and Tunnel Rat) are in the Chicago suburbs returning from a mission against Cobra (featuring 200 foot tall Cobra Commander robots, Storm Shadow clones and Destro's heat cannon) when they see a fire engine. Scarlett remembers to pull over to the right to let the engine pass, then Inferno decides they should follow it to see if they can assist.
At the burning house, Snake Eyes flips up to the roof and saves a boy from the inferno. An hour later, the fire is out and Duke and Inferno suit up to investigate the cause of the fire. Inferno points out the necessities of the gear and the fan to vent out the building. Inferno points out the smoke detector and the battery.
Outside, Tunnel Rat shares a snack with Ember the dalmation, the department mascot.
A young girl, Madeleine, recounts her memories of the fire, remembering the family meeting place and to get the neighbor to call 911.
Back at the firehouse, Duke reviews the tips we've learned so far. In a trivia section, the original purpose of the Dalmation is explained.
At the firehouse, a woman stops by asking for assistance installing a baby seat, one of the many things handled by the fire department. The family, fire department and the Joe team share dinner. Derek, the young boy, tells his story about the fire, mentioning that he thought his dad was just making his 'special' porkchops again. Derek adds a few more safety tips, including checking the door with the back of his hand and crawling to avoid the smoke.
A fireman tells his side, mentioning the V.E.S. procedure, meaning Vent, Enter and Search.
Back at the fire inspection, the inspector notes the cause of the fire as a hot oil fire, and reminds us to turn off the stove.
Now, for a little review with Roadblock, covering everything from the last section and a bit more information about the protective gear worn by a fire person.
An alarm sounds at the station, and Tunnel Rat joins Engine 102 for the ride, responding to the scene of a car accident. As they have that under control, they get a call to respond to 45 Lampkin Lane (childhood home of Halloween's Michael Myers). They go on to respond to a variety of emergencies, teach fire safety and even rescue a cat from a tree.
Duke sees a familiar looking fire truck (the Crash Crew Truck) at the station as Tunnel Rat returns, exhausted from his trip and states that after a day like that "Battling Cobra Commander robots and Storm Shadow clones looks easy!"
Scarlett reviews a few more tips, and when the team returns to The Rock, Tunnel Rat is quick to remember to change the battery in the smoke alarm!

Hawk informs Joseph Colton of the Joe team's final mission. They are to transport a new targeting module for the Rapid Pulse Particle Beam from Florida to Colton's location in New York City.
Duke, Hawk, Scarlett, Stalker, Gung Ho and Snake Eyes leave the Pit in Utah to retrieve the device. Unbeknownst to them, Cobra Commander is spying on them with satellites. Dr. Mindbender reports that Billy, Storm Shadow, and the Baroness have become dependent on the Brainwave Scanner, thinking that the Scanner is restoring them to reality. Destro watches on as the three receive another treatment from the Scanner.
The Joes make it safely to the train holding the targeting module. There, Snake Eyes tries to explain to Scarlett his desire to rescue Storm Shadow from Cobra's clutches.
In Washington D.C., a Cobra agent plants a bug in one of the Jugglers' hats, allowing Cobra Commander to find out the true use of the targeting module. Using the targeting module, one could use the pulse projector for long range brainwashing. Cobra Commander assembles a strike force to attack the train.
A few Cobra soldiers board the train, but the Joes are able to push defeat them. Zartan and the Dreadnoks destroy the tracks in front of the train, causing it to derail. The Joes escape the train on a pair of A.W.E. Strikers. Hawk reports to the Jugglers, who fear they may have been infiltrated.
Zartan and the Dreadnoks pursue the A.W.E. Strikers as Destro jets toward them in a Condor. Hawk is shot in the chest, and Duke takes command.

In Georgia, Duke, Hawk, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, and Gung Ho get a ride on a Patrol boat from a Vietnam veteran.
Destro arrives to chase after the Joes in a Condor, and informs Zartan that his services and those of the Dreadnoks are no longer required. Destro reports in to Cobra Commander, who is in the Silent Castle in Trans-Carpathia. Cobra Commander has a target practice session on B.A.T.s with paper cutouts of G.I.Joe team members' faces on them.
Back in Georgia, Gung Ho tends to Hawk's wound as Scarlett talks to Snake Eyes. Scarlett dreams of fixing up the cabin, settling down, and having a family.
At the Pentagon, the Jugglers discuss the Joes' situation, unaware that Cobra is still able to listen in on them.
Destro catches up to the Joes, but Hawk calls General Colton who shoots Destro's Condor with the Rapid Pulse Particle Beam. Destro is forced to withdraw, and Cobra Commander orders him to land at Broca Beach for repairs.
Destro attacks the Joes when they arrive in New York, and is able to steal the targeting module for the Rapid Pulse Particle Beam. A news crew videotapes the battle, but Colton confiscates the tapes. The issue ends with a tribute to the FDNY.

The Joe team travels to Trans-Carpathia to assault the Silent Castle. Stalker, Wild Bill, Hawk, Duke, and Gung Ho are in a Tomahawk, and Snake Eyes and Scarlett in an A.W.E. Striker. Wild Bill takes out the guns blocking Snake Eyes' way.
Destro meets Snake Eyes and Scarlett at the castle doors, using his wrist rockets to destroy the A.W.E. Striker. Wild Bill is able to maneuver to retrieve Scarlett, but Snake Eyes is left behind, seemingly unconscious.
Destro tells Billy, Storm Shadow and the Baroness to prepare for battle. Storm Shadow informs Dr. Mindbender that Snake Eyes is able to stop his own heartbeat and appear lifeless.
A squad of Vipers attempts to throw Snake Eyes into an incinerator, but Snake Eyes revives himself and defeats the Vipers. Destro, Cobra Commander, and Storm Shadow arrive to find the defeated Vipers, and Cobra Commander realizes that Snake Eyes is after the satellite control module.
Wild Bill eludes some Cobra Mambas and then circles back to the castle. Snake Eyes uses one cannon to eliminate another giving Wild Bill a clear path. Scarlett goes to help Snake Eyes, and they are able to defeat Storm Shadow. Duke gets a hold of the control module as Cobra has Scarlett and Snake Eyes surrounded.

Cobra Commander finds himself unable to gun down Snake Eyes and Scarlett at the base of the castle, while Hawk and his team fight off more B.A.T.s at the top of the castle. Storm Shadow decides to attack Snake Eyes on his own, but is angered to learn that Snake Eyes has been taught the ways of the Arashikage Secret Scrolls. Hawk's team hitches a ride down to the base of the castle on a Flight Pod, but they are cornered by Destro, who has gained control of the targeting module. Wild Bill swoops in to make the save in the Tomahawk, which was repaired with the parts of a downed MAMBA. Hawk calls Joe Colton, asking for a laser shot to destroy the targeting device, but the Jugglers try to stop Colton. Jane and Joe attack the Jugglers, and fire the shot. Destro realizes that the Joes may try this and moves the computer console, making the laser miss. Following Cobra Commander's orders, Destro plugs the console into the computer system. Back in New York, Colton finds out that the whole mission was a set up, the targeting module was just a device to deliver a virus into Cobra's systems and the Joe team was used to make Cobra believe that. One week after the battle, Storm Shadow confronts Billy in the storm drains as Billy is leaving. Billy explains that his head is a little messed up after the Brainwave Scanner was hooked into the central computer system and that he has to leave for awhile. Storm Shadow explains that he has gone back to his ninja ways and will confront his problems and Snake Eyes when the time comes. A month after that, Stalker receives a letter from Scarlett. Timber has passed away, but a new wolf pup has taken his place.

After Duke's morning jog, he helps Jinx train some recruits in the gymnasium. In the locker room he runs into Mainframe, who has recently completed a mission. Mainframe gives Duke a pen sized EMP (electromagnetic pulse) device that is able to fry an individual computer.
Hawk calls Duke into his office, and Hawk questions him about his involvement in a black ops mission named Operation: Coldfire. Hawk says that a distress signal was just received from there, but Duke doesn't think that's possible. Duke attempts to decline the mission, but Hawk convinces him to.
Duke chooses a team of Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Lifeline, Frostbite, and Airtight to assist him on the mission. Duke briefs the team, telling them about Operation: Coldfire. Coldfire was used to test a process to create a soldier more resistant to temperature extremes, but some of the genetic material mutated and infected some of the lab technicians. Evidence showed that the infection was transmitted through bites of some sort.
After the station went offline, Duke led a team of Army Rangers to investigate. That mission failed, and Duke was the only survivor.
Wild Bill drops the team off, and they use Snow Cats to get to the research facility. Frostbite tells a charming story about his uncle's dog and Lifeline tries to talk to Duke about what happened, but he refuses. They blow open the entrance, then use struts to prop it open.
Inside the facility, they encounter frozen bodies, animal remains, and unrecognizable droppings. Duke finds a lower level that isn't shown on the blueprints, and as he goes to investigate, they hear a rumbling sound. The team finds that the entrance is caved in, and their radios can't penetrate the facility.
Duke, sensing that they are not alone, readies the team for a fight. The last panel shows a silhouette of two hairy heads with glowing blue eyes.

At the Operation Coldfire laboratory on the top of the world, Duke, Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Airtight, Lifeline and Frostbite have come to the conclusion they are not alone. Someone or something caused the cave-in that seems to have trapped them in the building and Duke wants to find out who did it.
The Joes split into pairs to search the labs, and Duke and Snake-Eyes head off to explore the mysterious staircase they found last issue.
Meanwhile, Lifeline and Scarlett find more frozen corpses - but as Scarlett says, they seem a lot more "hairy" than the ones they saw previously. Lifeline is developing a theory on what sort of gene therapy was used here, but wants to keep it to himself for now. Scarlett finds the radio that sent the distress signal the Joes responded to last issue, and a generator; although it's shut down now, she informs Duke that she will try and get power restored and get the temperature rising.
Elsewhere, Airtight and Frostbite find more frozen corpses, and Duke and Snake-Eyes find a secret room with documents showing the facility was doing some serious budget tampering. The most interesting find, though, is a file folder stamped with a Cobra logo.
Just as Scarlett gets the power restored, she and Lifeline are attacked by a large, hairy creature. She calls the others for backup, and manages to nail the creature with a couple of bullets and a crossbow bolt - but it keeps coming.
Duke and Snake-Eyes arrive on the scene, and upon seeing the creature, Duke flashes back to his last visit here - and the crazed scientist he and his team came across
Back in the present, faced with a barrage of fire from the Joes, the creature retreats. Snake-Eyes manages to stick a sword through its hand but it escapes, with Snake-Eyes and Airtight on its tail. Scarlett checks out Lifeline, who was slashed by the creature's claws, but he assures Duke it's just a minor laceration.
Snake-Eyes and Airtight chase the creature to a large hole in the floor of the lab. The others arrive on scene, and as Scarlett goes down to check out the cavern, Lifeline explains his theory to Duke and the others - he thinks the scientists human genes with polar bear genes.
Scarlett re-emerges to tell them the cavern is actually a whole system of caves, and while there was no sign of the creature that attacked them, her scanners registered a human being somewhere in the caves. Duke orders Lifeline and Airtight to stay behind while the rest of them go exploring
As Airtight tries to lighten the mood with humour, Lifeline tells him he's not feeling too positive right now - after all, it seems obvious to him that Duke left him behind because, when he was scratched by the creature, he may have been infected with whatever it is the creatures have.
In the corridor outside, as the temperature rises, more creatures emerge from their thawing blocks of ice

In a flashback to 1995, we see Duke meeting the team members he's to take to investigate the silence from Operation Coldfire in the arctic. He's told that if they need to know what happened up there, and if there's a problem, the need it fixed.
We flash forward 12 hours and see Duke and his men in the fight of their lives against the mutated scientists from Coldfire...
In the present, Duke, Scarlett, Snake-Eyes and Frostbite explore the caves under Operation Coldfire, tracking the single human life sign they discovered last issue. Scarlett manages to raise Lifeline and Airtight on the wrist-comm, but reception isn't very clear.
Soon after Scarlett tells them to sit tight, Airtight and Lifeline are attacked a group of the mutated creatures. While their bullets seem to have no effect, an enraged Lifeline manages to stop one of them with a well-placed kick to the knee, and tackles another. The pair flee, but not before several creatures jump into the caves after the other Joes - and one of the creatures snags Airtight's wrist-comm...
The creatures catch up to the other Joes in the cave, again surprising the Joes with their speed. They manage to take out a couple of the creatures, but when more arrive, they decide using a gas grenade to buy them some time is their best option.
Back up top, Airtight wonders just how the heck Lifeline managed to take those creatures out. Lifeline tells him to relax, that he's not turning into a monster yet. When Airtight presses him, saying he's never seen Lifeline get mad or fight like that before, Lifeline simply says, "Well, I've never fought giant mutant polar bear guys before."
Lifeline then finds a mysterious hidden panel and says they have to get Duke on the radio...
Below, the other have found what appears to be an underground lake, and their life sign reading is coming from somewhere on the water. Snake-Eyes pops a flare and the discover a lone man drifting on an iceberg.
The man - an Englishman named Chuck Trellice - tells them he was mountain climbing with some friends when they fell into a crevasse and were attacked by the creatures. He leads the Joes back to the crevasse, and potential escape, but not before they are again attacked by the creatures - forcing Scarlett to use their last gas grenade.
They find the crevasse, but Duke is attacked from behind by a creature. It manages to yank a grenade off of Duke's belt - and remove the pin. The Joes manage to grab cover but the resulting explosion causes a cave-in, blocking off the access to the crevasse

Duke, Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Frostbite civillian survivor Chuck Trellice find themselves trapped behind a wall of ice as they try to escape the caverns beneath Project: Coldfire.
Airtight, meanwhile, reports to Duke that he and Lifeline have found another section attached to the project above, that hasn't been wrecked, and has working equipment - and an emergency escape door. Only problem is, it's locked electronically, and Airtight doesn't have the decryption skills to get it open. Duke tells him and Lifeline to sit tight - they're making their way back to the main lab. In the meantime, Airtight and Lifeline decide to run some tests and see just what effect the scratch Lifeline sustained from the creatures is having on him.
As Duke's team makes its way through the caverns and back to the main lab, Mr. Trellice confesses he's nervous; all he wants is to get back to his wife and child. The Joes try to reassure him and Duke tells him to stick close. Duke then flashes back to the first time he was at project coldfire...
Duke remembers the frightened reaction of his men after they faced down the first of the creatures. Duke calms them by telling them this is what they train for, and they're going to complete their mission - gather information and eliminate the threat...
Back in the present the Joes are attacked by more creatures. They fight their way through, reaching Airtight and Lifeline just in time.
Duke says it was a planned ambush, and when he realizes that Airtight has lost his wrist-comm, it becomes clear the creatures were listening in - and are therefore more intelligent than the Joes thought.
Seven years ago, Duke pulls the last surviving member of his team out into the snow, holding a flare to guide the chopper in, but the man dies in his arms...
Scarlett, thinking out loud, says the Joes will have to shut down the generator to bypass the electronic lock and open the door, but getting back to the generator will be dangerous. Before they can formulate an action plan Duke speaks up and says no one is going on any suicide mission... and pulls out the EMP pen Mainframe gave him before he left.
Using the airducts to move into the next room, the Joes manage to trick several of the creatures, trapping them. Scarlett attaches the EMP pen to a crossbow bolt, and fires it at the lock, disabling it.
More creatures appear, attacking the Joes. As they fight their way to the door, one of the creatures is accidentally knocked into a gas valve, and room fills with gas.
The Joes make it out, except for Duke, who's trapped by one last creature. Duke manages to defeat it by smashing it in the face with a centrifuge, but he hasn't enough strength to make it out... until Airtight arrives with a spare breathing apparatus, and helps him out into the clear.
Outside, Duke tells the Joes to get Wild Bill on the comm, to tell General Hawk to get containment teams out to the area. Lifeline suggests he should stay behind - after all, he still doesn't know what effects that scratch might have on him, as they never got to see the results from the test. But Duke pulls out a small printout, saying he saved it from the centrifuge before he used it to defeat the creature, and that Lifeline has nothing to worry about... it says "negative." Not that it would have mattered anyway - Duke says "we're not leaving anybody behind."

In Chicago, a team of firemen attempt to douse a blaze at an apartment building. One of the firefighters sees a young girl on the fire escape above, but when he calls out to her, she doesn't answer... instead she just looks down at him and the fire with menacing eyes...
Five years later, in Kansas City, a group of seedy looking individuals crowd around a brawl in a truck-stop parking lot. A young, blond-haired man is taking bets, and generally ignoring the advances of an attractive young woman. His eyes are locked on another young woman - the one beating the stuffing out of the two guys she's brawling with! The girl dispatches the hulking brutes in a variety of creative ways - sand in face, fist in the groin - and the blond man takes his money from a series of bets he's made. The girl, fresh from the fight, falls into his arms, dispatching the other young woman with the same menacing eyes displayed on the fire escape...
Later, in a dingy room, the young man, Kevin, counts his money while Zanya watches. It's almost enough, he says, to join in with the original Florida Dreadnoks.
Some years earlier, the younger Zanya watches as one of her mother's boyfriends barges in and takes all her mother's money. Zanya can't help buy cry, but her mother berates her for it, telling her not to cry, and if she ever catches her crying again, she'll regret it...
In Florida, the teenage Zanya makes short work of another punk in front of a big crowd, which includes Dreadnoks Monkeywrench, Gnawgahyde and Zanzibar. They think she's there to sign up with the 'Noks, but Kevin steps in, implying he's the brains of the operation and that he's the one who wants to join.
But the 'Noks haven't actually seen Kevin in action, all they know is he's got the money. They know Zanya's got the hard credentials, so if Kevin wants in, Zanya's got to be in too.
The five set out on a little mission. Seems some gangbangers are selling weapons to drug dealers on Dreadnok turf - and they're not going to let that happen. This includes a "special task" for Kevin and Zanya.
Gnawgahyde wonders where Zanya learned to fight like that, and she tells him, where she grew up, it was either bully or victim - and she wasn't going to be a victim.
Years earlier, young Zanya pounds the snot out of a notorious bully in school, forcing her mother to come down and get her. Her mother is annoyed at having to interrupt her day for Zanya, and proceeds to remind her daughter that she's nobody special...
In Miami, the weapons-for-drugs deal is going down, and it's up to Kevin and Zanya to silence the guards before the Dreadnoks make their move. Kevin botches his lockpicking assignment, and the whole mission is nearly FUBAR, but Zanya takes the guards out on her own. The 'Noks arrive, rounding up the thugs, and the mission is a success, although Zanya looks disdainfully at Kevin as he pilfers the wallet of a fallen guard.
At a 'Nok hideout, the Dreadnoks congratulate the kids on their work, and get ready to party. Of course, a voice calls out, it's never really a party until Zartan arrives - and arrive he does, with sister Zarana in two.
Zanya looks up at him admiringly and whispers one word under her breath: "Dad..."

In Chicago, young Zanya listens to her mother and her boyfriend argue over money, and the fact that she constantly compares him to another man - Zartan.
When her mother emerges, battered, Zanya asks simply, "who's Zartan?"
"Didn't I tell you already?" Her mother asks. "He's yer daddy."
Several years later, at the Dreadnok pad, Zanya and her "manager," Kevin, join the party as the newest members of the gang. Kevin, completely full of himself, seems to forget that it's really Zanya who got them where they are.
Zanya, however, has other things on her mind. She approaches Zartan with a challenge to throw down! He dismisses her, but she jumps him anyway.
Zartan, not wanting to fight a girl half his size, sidesteps her blows, before finally pinning her on the ground, where he admits he's impressed with her spirit. She says he should be, and tells him she's his daughter.
"Nice try," he says, walking away.
Kevin berates her for screwing around, but she tells him it's the truth. Zarana, meanwhile, is not impressed, and tells Zanya she won't be pulling any cons on her brother and the Dreadnoks. She then proceeds to demonstrate for Kevin just what she means!
Zarana heads off to see Zartan, who is obviously a little shaken by Zanya's claim. He doesn't necessarily believe her, but she's about the right age for the time he spent in Chicago, and he says there's something familiar about her...
In the past, Zanya's mother's boyfriend storms out, but her mother pleads with him to stay. As they argue, Zanya sits on her bed, playing with a box of matches...
In a Florida bar, Kevin runs across the young brunette he met in Kansas City, who gives him the cold shoulder until he mentions he's in with the 'Noks. He tells her Zanya was just a means to an end, but quickly realizes Zarana is nearby, listening...
Kevin reports back to Zanya that he thinks Zarana has got to go. After all, he says, she's next in line to take over Dreadnok operations if Zartan goes - or she was, until they came along. Zanya chooses to remind Kevin that she's his daughter, not Kevin, so only she'd be next in line, which enrages Kevin.
Before he can attack her, though, Zartan enters. He says he and Zanya need to talk.
He asks her how her mother died. She tells him - she and her boyfriend were trapped in a fire. Zartan tells her he believes her, and offers her a choice - stay with him and learn, or go and live her life without any interference from him. She chooses to stay and go the distance.
Later, in Jacksonville, Kevin, Zanya and Zarana prepare to break into a factory to steal a new prototype amphibious ATV. Zarana sneaks around front to take out the guards, and Kevin says now's there chance to take her out once and for all. Kevin follows Zarana in though the front, leaving Zanya to sneak in behind them...
Years earlier, Zanya's mother storms in on her, belt in hand, irate that Zanya has burned her bedsheets. Still playing with matches, this time Zanya refuses to be the victim, and fights back...
Back in the present, Zanya gets the drop - on Kevin. She beats him senseless, telling him to leave - and never come back.
Zarana tells Zanya she passed the test - but nothing has changed between them...
The other Dreadnoks arrive, and welcome her to the family. Zartan smiles down approvingly.

At McCord Air Force Base in Washington State, a plane mysteriously vanishes off of radar seconds after radio contact is lost... a plane carrying top secret cargo.
The next morning, two blond men cross each others paths while jogging in Central Park in New York City. They run side-by-side for a short time, and their identities become clear - Duke is meeting up with Chuckles, who's deep undercover in Extensive Enterprises, and therefore, Cobra. Chuckles tells Duke Cobra didn't take the plane, but whoever did, is offering to sell its cargo to Cobra - and Cobra is sending Chuckles to handle the transfer of payment. Duke explains the plane carries a bio-lab capable of creating a viral weapon that makes Ebola look like the flu.
Duke says the Joes will ambush the payment meeting, and get the plane back.
Unknown to both men, they are being watched, however...
In Colorado, the missing plane occupies a hangar while a large bald men tells a group of armed men - the hijackers - they have done good work. They bring forward the lone survivor of the crew - a doctor who has the access codes to the lab.
At Wright-Patterson AFB, two green berets share a chuckle at the names on the list of the day's visitors - Gambello, Schnurr, Skoog and Sneeden. Naturally, the four visitors are standing right behind them, and the pair gets a decent chewing out from Sneeden - also known as Beach Head. The much more good-natured Airtight introduces Beach Head and himself, along with Flash and Tripwire, before shaking one of the soldier's hands... and it's the old fake hand trick! Airtight jovially says he's got a spare while the shell-shocked soldier looks on. Beach Head begs that they please just get a move on...
Duke briefs the four Joes on the mission, explaining that the doctor - one Masoud Sharifi - is an Iranian, whose conscience finally kicked in and agreed to sell his bio-weapons secrets to the States. The four-man team will jump in, get into the lab, get the bio-weapon, and get out.
In Colorado, the man in charge relaxes with his ladyfriend, the beautiful Azure. Holding up a photo of his parents - a very familiar pair of people - he tells Azure how rare it is to defeat one's enemies with one blow. He bitterly complains that his father never did, and as his father grew older, he became careless, and allowed his mother to exploit him. He is then informed that the Cobra Courier - Chuckles - has arrived in Denver. As he looks at surveillance photos of Chuckles and Duke, he places a call to Extensive Enterprises...
At the airport, Chuckles, going by the name Charles Joseph, is picked up in a Cobra limo, whose driver claims to be a CIA agent. They head toward the rendezvous,
Above, in a chopper piloted by Lift-Ticket, the Joe team prepares to jump. The get the green light and jump into the night sky - Tripwire, of course, trips on the way out the plane.
At the airfield, the bald man - revealed as the heir to the Wingfield family - watches the Joes move in. He toasts to "power" with Azure. Once he releases the bio-weapon, the world will begin anew, with him as Adam and her as his Eve. He shows her the real plan - a missile system that will deliver the weapons across the globe...
On their approach to the airfield, Airtight asks Beach Head what the plan is should Chuckles be caught in the middle. Beach Head says that they can't risk his cover - and that sometimes, you have to put a bullet in a friend to save his life. As the approach, the Joes are surprised by the lack of guards - a mere two, which Beach Head quickly silences.
They take the plane, and Flash melts the lock on the bio-lab. Unfortunately, that's exactly what Wingfield wanted - and he and his men arrive just in time to capture the Joes from behind. Now they have four prisoners and complete access to the lab - including the virus.
Chuckles arrives, backed up by Wild Weasel, a Crimson Guard Immortal and two Crimson Guards. He hands over the money to Wingfield, but before Wingfield completes his side of the deal, he reveals to Joseph that he knows he's working for the Joes!
Chuckles talks his way out of it by stating he's in fact a double agent working for Cobra Commander, to spy on Extensive Enterprises and the Crimson twins.
Wingfield says there's only one way for Chuckles to prove himself - he brings out the four Joe prisoners and orders Chuckles to kill one of them...

Beach Head, Flash, Airtight & Tripwire have been captured by Tyler Wingfield, the son of Vance Wingfield. An undercover Chuckles is placed in the position of having to execute one of the Joes in front of Wingfield, Wild Weasel & Crimson Guard Immortal. A CIA agent, Caulder, that had been undercover as a Cobra driver comes rushing in to cause a distraction. That allows Chuckles to avoid shooting Beach Head, who he was holding a gun to his head.
As the battle goes on, Wild Weasel and several Crimson Guardsmen give up, Tyler Wingfield makes his escape and the Joe team is freed.
Wingfield meets up at his command center inside the missile base that he has captured. He starts the launch sequence that will fire off two missiles each carrying the very deadly virus, Death Angel. Azure, Wingfield's girlfriend, stabs him in the back as the Joe team invades the command center. But the launch sequence has already begun.
As the countdown begins the Joe team with the help of Azure spreads out to disarm the missiles. Tripwire climbs up on top to manually pull out the virus containers. Airtight works on the other. Beach Head has the opportunity to escape but decides to stay with Airtight & Tripwire. As Azure & Agent Caulder are watching the Joes disarm the missiles, Tyler Wingfield bleeding from the knife wound sneaks away, unnoticed.
Outside, Flash has thought to destroy the power source that runs the facility as a way to stop the launch. As the countdown goes from 40 seconds to 7 seconds Airtight & Tripwire are able to remove the virus, and Flash blows up the power station thereby aborting the launch.
As Hector Ramirez of 20 Questions gives his news report on the incident, the Joe team minus Chuckles watches. The news report talk about Vance Wingfield's (Tyler's father) First Strike and how his wife, Shary Wingfield who is now in the witness protection program, killed him.
Beach Head reminds the team that Chuckles is still out there working undercover, only now it is truly from the inside, the inside of Blackwater Prison.

In New York City, Daemon, Firewall and Mainframe plant wireless in a Cobra base. The modems tell them what they need to know - "the hit's going down today!"
Inside Blackwater Federal Detention Facility, Chuckles - who is attempting to maintain his cover as a Cobra agent - is accosted by another inmate. A fight ensues, with the larger man trying to force a plate full of food down Chuckles' throat and eventually pulling a knife. Chuckles wrestles the blade away - just in time for two guards to show up, and gun him down when they see him brandishing the weapon.
Meanwhile, in a Federal Assmebly Building in Los Angeles, Duke informs the various US intelligence agencies that G.I. Joe now has complete jurisdiction over the Tyler Wingfield case.
The next day at a safe-house in Louisiana, Chuckles offers his thanks to the two guards from the previous day - Blowtorch and Gung-Ho. The whole deal was a set-up to get Chuckles out, and leave Cobra thinking him dead.
As Blowtorch and Gung-Ho head down to New Orleans for some R&R, they pass a Sheriff's cruiser heading up towards the safe-house. Inside the cruiser is no Sheriff, however - it's the Baroness and Zandar.
In Seattle, Tyler Wingfield's confidant Dkembe tells his boss that they still have active cells in the States, their intel network is strong, and the "other business" is still in progress. Wingfield is pleased.
At the safe-house, Chuckles notices the Baroness and Zandar approach. Turns out the inmate at Blackwater who attacked Chuckles was a Cobra operative, and he managed to force a tracking device down Chuckles' throat. After they dispatch the guards, they storm the house...
In Seattle, Flint, Shockwave, Law, Dial-Tone, Jinx and Scarlett, along with a new Joe, Crosshair, storm Wingfield's compound. He's ready for them, however, Dkembe busts out in their van. Jinx and Scarlett chases him down via motorcycle, and Jinx hops into the van, subduing him violently.
In Louisiana, Chuckles flees out of the back of the house and the Baroness and Zandar storm in. He jumps in his car, but not before the Baroness shoots him in the leg. Before he can get the car in gear, she shoots out the tires - and he passes out on the steering wheel.
In Seattle, the Joes tell Dkembe he'll be fine if he gets to a hospital - but they'll only take him there if he talks. Not far away, Wingfield makes his escape with another associate, telling the man to call the communications hub and tell them to prepare for the endgame...

On a secluded beach, sometime in the past, Chuckles tells his girlfriend Jessie that he's got a new job. The only thing is, the job's going to mean a lot of time away from home, and if anything happens, she'll never know the truth. He says he can't ask her to wait for him, but she says she will, for as long as it takes. He promises to come home to her safely.
In the present Chuckles awakens in the back of a van, at the mercy of the Baroness, Zandar, and Tyler Wingfield. It seems it was Wingfield who tipped Cobra off to Chuckles' double-agent status last issue, in order to clear his name with Cobra for double crossing them earlier. He also offers them a generous "finder's fee" for delivering Chuckles to him. Of course, he reminds them, that earlier double cross was what helped reveal Chuckles in the first place. Chuckles is loaded onto an airplane and knocked unconscious.
Soon, on board another plane, Flint takes a call from General Hawk. Seems things have hit the fan in a big way - Wingfield has hijacked a plane, landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, and he's got hostages -and he wants to talk to Flint.
The Joes arrive on the scene in Paris and Wingfield emerges from his hijacked plane, with Chuckles and the plane's co-pilot as hostages. He tells Flint his demands - $25 million in American bearer bonds, and Shary Wingfield - his mother. If his demands are met in three hours, everyone goes free. If not, people die.
Flint tries to play hardball and tells him they'll consider his demands if he lets one of the hostages go. Wingfield proves to Flint that he's not missing around by executing the co-pilot.
They move back inside the plane and Wingfield, frustrated, tosses his phone to the floor. Chuckles aggravates a guard just enough for the guard to shove him to the ground - right next to the discarded phone.
Flint gets on the horn to Hawk, who tells him they've heard from the White House - the money will be paid, and a team of Joes is en route to pick up Shary Wingfield.
Shary is living in the French countryside, under the watch of the CIA. Jinx meets with her to explain Tyler's demands, expecting Shary to tell her to go to hell - but Shary agrees to do it.
At Cobra headquarters, Cobra Commander and his senior staff watch the news as the events unfold in Paris. The Commander applauds Wingfield's ambition, saying he might be useful to Cobra. The Baroness and the Crimson Twins disagree, saying he's too ambitious - leading the Commander to speculate that they're not concerned for the good of Cobra, but rather, that his ambitions might conflict with their own. Destro enters the room with a smirk and tells them the finder's fee Wingfield delivered earlier is all counterfeit.
On the hijacked plane, Chuckles picks up the discarded phone and activates it. Flint can now hear everything that's going on, and Chuckles manages to get Wingfield to spill his story of how he grew up in a military school, fled when his father was killed, and organized street gangs and later crime syndicates in Europe. Chuckles asks how Wingfield discovered he was a spy and he said it was easy - undercover agents live by the clock, so all he had to do was look for the Cobra with the most reliable schedule.
Suddenly, the phone behind Chuckles' back beeps - the battery is low. Enraged, Wingfield swears to kill Chuckles, and moves his deadline up to 30 minutes from now. Shary and the money arrive just in time, and Shary manages to pocket a pistol before she heads off for a reunion with her son.
True to his word, Tyler lets Chuckles and the plane's pilot go when Shary arrives. However, he turns to shoot Chuckles in the back for his earlier transgressions - but Crosshair saves him by shooting Wingfield's gun out of his hand. Tyler orders the plane to take off.
On board, he and his mother have a discussion. He tells her to look at all he's accomplished, imagining how proud his father would be. Shary tells him his father probably would be proud - but she is not. She pulls the pistol from her purse and guns him down. She then grabs hold of him, opens the cabin door, and jumps. She pulls his ripcord and floats to safety as French fighters destroy the plane.
Two weeks later, Hawk meets up with Chuckles, telling him he has another assignment if he wants it - and Chuckles says he does, he just has to keep his promise to Jessie first.

On a plane inbound to Wright-Patterson, Stalker reads a letter from his wife. He's been away from home a long time, and he's looking forward to seeing Lydia and his boys - because family is what makes the fighting worthwhile.
Stalker arrives home to Lydia, finding Jamal, his youngest son, asleep. But Alvin, his stepson, isn't home. Stalker gets angry that he's out at this hour, and goes to look for him. Lydia tells him Alvin is at a turning point, but Lonzo reminds her he knows something about that turning point himself.
He finds Alvin running with a gang, the G-Hustlers. They're about to throw down with their rivals, the Six Rivers Gang, to see who can lock up a deal with a Mexican drug cartel.
Watching the gangs face off flashes Stalker back to his own youth, and his gang leader, Hardtop, who the G-Hustlers gang leader, "Mad Anthony" Brown, reminds him of. Back then he just wanted to be the baddest guy on his block, but Hardtop wanted to take it higher - get into drugs, cocaine...
As the G-Hustlers and the Six Rivers Gang start to brawl, Stalker jumps in. He grabs Alvin, who protests Lonzo has no right to tell him what to do, since he isn't his real father.
The G-Hustlers win the fight, and Brown comes face-to-face with Stalker. Stalker tells Brown he and Alvin are leaving. One of Brown's thugs tries to muscle Stalker by putting a gun under his chin, but Stalker surprises them all by taking the gun before anyone sees him move.
He and Alvin leave, but Brown calls out to Alvin, reminding him that he's got things to do and people he can't let down.
Lonzo tries to talk to Alvin about living up to his potential, but Alvin will have none of it. He doesn't need any speeches from a guy that travels the world fighting people in day-glo masks... after all, "Mad Anthony" Brown's been here all along - where has Lonzo been?
The next day Lonzo and Alvin visit the principle at Alvin's school. Mr. Riles tells Lonzo that Alvin's on the edge, and that it's time to mature and accept responsibility. But Lonzo feels guilty that he's not around enough to teach that responsibility.
Stalker gets Mad Anthony's file from the local cops. Turns out he doesn't just deal in the ghetto, but in the high-class areas of town, too. Flashing back, he remembers telling Hardtop he wanted no part of the drug scene. Hardtop brings the mob enforcers down on Stalker to put him in his place, but Stalker fights them off, and lights their shipment of heroin on fire. That was his last act as a gang member before joining the army.
Now that the Six Rivers Gang are out of the way, the G-Hustlers are in with the Mexican cartel. Stalker breaks in to Mad Anthony's crib to look for clues as to where the first incoming shipment from Mexico will arrive, and how.
The next night Stalker attacks the Six Rivers Gang at the railyards, where the shipment is coming in by train. He takes out most of them, but Mad Anthony sneaks up on him from behind - but Alvin tackles him, saving his stepdad. Mad Anthony is bigger, but Alvin's been taught some moves, like his dad, and he knocks the older man out.
Stalker's impressed with Alvin. They go to leave together, and Stalker begins to set a bomb to blow up the shipment. But Alvin says to leave it, so there's evidence to put Mad Anthony away and finish the G-Hustlers.
Stalker says Lydia will be mad at them for what they've done - after all, Alvin's supposed to be a nice suburban school boy. But as Alvin says - "Consider who my old man is."

At Parliament Security House in London, a Mr. Fletcher expresses his worry to a guard that he doesn't feel safe. The guard assures him he is - after all, Britain's best MPGS unit is on-site.
Little does he know a single Night Creeper is quietly taking out each of the guards in turn...
Meanwhile, on an island in the English Channel, a similar stealthy assassin makes his way through a Cobra compound, taking out Cobra soldiers as he goes. He makes his way to a control room where Cobra Commander and Destro are arguing about their deal - which would see Destro take a less active role in Cobra, and establish this European stronghold. Unfortunately, the Commander doesn't believe the location is secure enough.
Destro assures him it's as safe as he wishes it to be, when the mysterious intruder drops from the ceiling, revealing himself as Zartan.
In London, the Night Creeper has finally reached Mr. Fletcher's room...
As Zartan points a gun a Destro's head, the Commander believes he's proven his point. Destro, as usual, is one step ahead - his own security team has been tracking Zartan since he passed the main gate, and they burst in, surrounding the Commander.
In London the next morning, Duke, Stalker, Low-Light and Snake-Eyes inspect the scene of Mr. Fletcher's murder. As it turns out, Mr. Fletcher was a former Crimson Guard, and was about to spill his secrets to the Joes. Snake-Eyes finds a poison needle in the neck of one of the deceased guards - their only clue.
In Paris, the Night Creeper picks up a package with his next job - and it's Destro! In fact, Cobra Commander reveals to Destro that he's hired someone to kill him, as yet another test of Destro's security. Outraged, the Baroness tries to gun down the Commander, but Storm Shadow stops her.
Mainframe and Lifeline discover that the poison on the needle is from a black Gaeru frog, and Mainframe's found a name - a Joseph Ulrich - that regularly orders these frogs - always at a different address. This time he's in Paris; Duke sends Stalker and Snake-Eyes out to bring him in.
Later, the two Joes burst in to Ulrich's hotel room - but he's already gone, leaving behind only a bomb. After the smoke clears, Snake-Eyes spots the Night Creeper's orders - with Destro's photograph - in the rubble. The location of Cobra's island base is also on the orders...
The Night Creeper has arrived at the island stronghold, and is making his way to the control room, dispatching of Cobra guards as he goes. Destro and Cobra Commander face off once more, each threatening the other. The defense network goes down, and Cobra Commander gloats as the Night Creeper - disguised as a Cobra solider - sneaks up behind Destro.
But before the Creeper can dispatch of his target, a second Destro appears behind him, gun in hand. As the first Destro reveals himself as Zartan, the Creeper makes his move, eluding Destro's gunfire - but not the Baroness'. Riddled with bullets, Ulrich gasps that others will come and finish the job - but Destro finishes him off, saying, "let them."
Cobra Commander is ready to concede the game, but the Joes suddenly arrive in force! The Cobras are forced make their escape as the Joes capture the compound.
The Commander gloats, saying that this proves once and for all that Destro's security measures were not sufficient. Destro, of course, tells him they would have been, if their attention had not been diverted by the Commander's game. The standoff continues.
Later, flying home, the Baroness laments to Destro that the Night Creepers will continue to dog them. Destro says he's taken care of it - he simply made them a better offer. In Zurich, a Night Creeper, frog in hand, opens a package with Destro's sigil on it...

Pursued by an angry mob of rebels, five greenshirts make their way into a small desert town, led by Beach Head.
They high-tail it to an abandoned apartment building, but before they can make it inside, one of the recruits - number three - is hit. Beach Head explains they can't wait, and he leads the others into the building, where they take the elevator to the 18th floor. As Beach Head explains, going to all the way to the roof is what the enemy expects; he launches a rappelling line between the apartment and the next building, and the next, until they're on the roof of the prison.
Number four, displeased with Beach Head's hard-ass command methods, thinks back to meeting him for the first time. Even though he and the other five greenshirts has been in the marines for four years, they still had to go undergo more rigorous training under Beach Head if they wanted to make the Joes. And under Beach Head, training is murder. By the end of it they all hated him, especially four, who he made clean the barracks with a potato.
And leaving three behind isn't sitting well with four either.
On the roof of the prison, the recruits try to plan their escape when Beach Head says, they "ain't escapin'" - they're breaking in. They enter the prison through an air vent, and Beach Head tells one and two to paint the tallest building with the laser for air strike.
Four questions just what the heck good all this is doing, when Beach Head reminds him that he should have read the enemy's procedure manual. They're not gonna just kill three - they're going to take him prisoner. And the place they're going to hold him is the place the Joes are waiting for them.
When the bad guys arrive with the three, four and five take out his captors while one and two call in the air strike. With the Rebels distracted, the Joes make their way back to roof for evac.
A number of rebels have already made it up there, though, and a firefight breaks out. Not only that, the rebels have a tank rumbling down the street! Beach Head calls in the helos, and one and two get three in as soon as the chopper's down.
But Beach Head gets hit - and despite Beach Head's orders to the contrary, four goes back and retrieves him. Beach Head, naturally, is mad - as the fly away to safety, he orders four down to give him fifty push-ups.

At TV LA Studios, Marvin Hinton - aka Roadblock - prepares for his syndicated cooking show - "Kiss Your Mama Home Cookin'" - faces a major problem. Instead of the spoons he's requested, he's been given plastic sporks! His producer, Ellie reminds him this isn't Emeril - and when Marvin has his own line of Marvin Hinton grills in every home in America, then he can have all the spoons he wants.
Back at the Pit, Firewall introduces Daina to the joys of watching Roadblock's show - and making fun of him the whole time. What other cooking show would have a "Rhyme of the Day," after all? Meanwhile, Mainframe hacks his way through Cobra's latest money laundering scheme...
Two weeks later, Marvin walks onto his set, noticing something different - there are spoons! Not to mention a new microwave, skillets... Ellie explains some "new investments" paid off, which means in addition to new equipment, it's time for a co-host! Marvin is introduced to Mona Bootcher, star of TV's "The Au Pair from Jersey." And her little dog, Ms. Dimples.
At the Pit, Mainframe does a happy dance as he's finally cracked Cobra's code. If hacking were ninjitsu, he'd be Snake-Eyes, he says.
Of course, at Extensive Enterprises headquarters in NYC, the Crimson Twins discover Mainframe's hacking and decide they'll have to find another way to launder their money, other than this television network scheme. They'll have to eradicate the evidence - by calling in the Dreadnoks.
On set, Marvin places his latest concoction on the Marvin Hinton Grill, while Mona conjures up a dessert. Ms. Dimples, apparently, has gotten into the whipped cream, however - and proceeds to projectile vomit all over Roadblock. Cue commercial... and Dreadnoks!
The Noks begin to trash the joint, smashing lights and cameras, and Burnout takes a big ol' wrench to Roadblock's head - a sucker shot. He points his gun at Roadblock, but Ms. Dimples and her projectile vomit saves the day, as she upchucks all over the new Nok! Roadblock gets up and punches him out, much to the delight of Ellie, who calls it "Iron Chef meets American Gladiator."
Roadblocks makes quick work of most of the Dreadnoks, while Gnawgahyde slathers himself with vegetable shortening - The hunter has to be like his prey, after all. Roadblock can't get a handle on him, and Gnawgahyde pins him down, ready to strike with a meat cleaver... but Roadblock grabs the Marvin Hinton Grill and cold-cocks him!
The Dreadnoks defeated, Roadblock turns to the camera and says, "The Marvin Hinton Grill. Knocks out snakes... makes great steaks."
At the Pit, Firewall and Daina can barely contain themselves, as Mainframe wallows over all the work he's lost...
Now that the mysterious investors are gone, Roadblock doesn't see any way they can fix the show up and get it back on the air. But Ellie says everyone loved it, and everyone wants a Marvin Hinton Grill! They're retooling the show - it's now called "Cooking with Kung-Fu Grip" - and Marvin is an action chef! And he'll fight a new evil menace every week with instruments of cuisine!
First up: evil ninja warriors!
