The Baroness, flying a FANG helicopter with two additional FANG's supporting her, attack the Guard's helicopter. The Guard destroys both support FANG's, Baroness scores a hit on the Hind with a missile and they go head to head firing their machine guns. Each helicopter receives severe damage and limps away. The Joe team has been watching entire the helicopter duel.
Deep Six and his SHARC are launched off the deck of the trawler with a live video cable connected to the SHARC.
Diana and Brekhov crash land the Hind on the Russian Navy Captain Bulgakov's frigate, Udaloy. The Baroness crashes her FANG into the ocean near Firefly who has a hydrofoil with several Eels. Both feel that the Joe presence is proof of the disabled submarine. And set about to stop the Joes and recover the submarine for themselves.
Cobra and the October Guard converge on the Joe's trawler. Bulgakov asks the Joes to surrender and sends out Horrorshow and Diana to tap into the video cable feed from the SHARC. After tapping in Diana goes on to attack Cobra and Horrorshow dives deep down to find the SHARC and submarine. On the Hydrofoil, The Baroness sends two of her Eels to sneak onto the Udaloy, once on the ship they over here Schrage and Bulgakov listening to the sounds of the disabled submarine on the bottom of the ocean, as well as see a picture of it from the tapped cable feed. The Eels relay the confirmation to the Baroness that the Russians also know about the downed submarine.
As a fight breaks out on the deck of Udaloy, Diana and the Baroness fight on the Hydrofoil, below the surface Deep Six knocks out Horrorshow just as he discovers that the video cable feed is just a video tape playing a recording of a model and that the submarine noise is all part of a hoax. There is no real disabled American submarine sitting on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
Diana is kicked off the Hydrofoil which immediately crashes into the Udaloy. The Baroness and Firefly jump on the front deck of the Udaloy as a full out fight happens with Brekhov, Stormavik and Schrage all fighting hard. Diana then climbs on the back of Udaloy behind the Eels and using her sniper rifle she takes out the two Eels. On the other side of the ship, Torpedo and Wet Suit climb aboard. They walk directly to the bridge where they hand Bulgakov a harness. The Baroness & Firefly are now cornered at the front of the ship. Colonel Brekhov asks them to throw down their weapons.
Off the port side of the Udaloy, a Cobra submarine surfaces with Destro explaining that the disabled submarine is a hoax set up by the Joe team. Standing on top of the ship is Cap. Bulgakov, he is in a STABO harness (STAbilized Body extraction unit, basically a rope suspended by a small balloon is picked up by a flying aircraft lifting the person up and out of the area), Wild Bill and Hawk flying in a C-130 pick him up as he is saying that since the death of his wife he has lost his party loyalty and is defecting.
The fighting has stopped. The Joes kick Horrorshow off their boat, Wet Suit & Torpedo return to the trawler and the October Guard kick the Baroness and Firefly off their ship with everybody going home; the Joes have accomplished their mission without firing a shot.
Hawk is briefing Alpine, Snow Job, Airtight and Breaker on a mission to Greenland. An old German Condor WWII Bomber has been discovered half hanging out the side of a glacier. The world wide news of the discovery flushed out an old Nazi doctor, Otto Von Totenschadel. The doctor claims that the bomber contains a nerve toxin strong enough to kill thousands if it is released into the air, only he knows how to deactivate it. He has been hiding in Argentina and wants to stop hiding. He is willing to make a deal in return for the information on deactivating the toxin. But it has to be kept secret from his fellow Nazis.
Clutch, Roadblock, Recondo and Dial Tone are already in Argentina staking out the Doctor's hide out. The place is surrounded by fencing, spotlights, search towers, dogs and machine gun emplacements. This is a very secure Nazi compound run by the Sons of Nazis organization. The Joes have to sneak in there to make a deal with the good doctor. A group of banditos appears behind them, but Recondo immediately recognizes them for being Mossad, Israeli intelligence and the leader Ibraham is a Moroccan Jew. The Joes are forced to drop their weapons, which they do. Recondo starts talking about the deal they are going to make with Doctor Otto when Roadblock hits him, completely knocking him out. Recondo is then covered with a poncho as it begins to rain.
In Greenland, Lift Ticket drops off the team at the top of the glacier. Alpine and Airtight repel down to the bomber as Breaker and Snow Job stay above as support. Just as Alpine and Airtight get to the bomber a Cobra HISS tank with Firefly in the turret along with several vipers arrive on the horizon headed straight for them.
Doctor Otto is a very bad man, he was in charge of the poison gas chambers at different Nazi concentration camps and instrumental in creating the nerve agent called Sarin-Plus, a nerve toxin that will neutralize a grown man in seconds, a very excruciating way to die. Ibraham explains that Mossad has been after this guy for years and he deserves to die for all the pain and suffering he has caused. The Joes tell him about the bomber and its gas and the deal they have to make in order insure that the toxin isn't released. They notice that Recondo has disappeared from under the poncho.
In the rain, Recondo has been able to sneak past all of the guards and get to Doctor Otto, who is ready to make a deal. The doctor wants a sanctuary to live out his life. It turns out that Ibraham several years ago had gotten very close to catching him, so he ran into the current hiding place inside the Sons of Nazis compound, and he no longer wants to live there. So the deal is the Joes take him and his gold bullion, which he took from the Reich treasury, away to safe place where he can retire in comfort and peace, all in exchange for the procedure on disarming the nerve toxin in the bomber.
Back in Greenland, Snow Job and Breaker have to fight Firefly as they support Alpine and Airtight down below on the bomber. Using a grenade, they cause the HISS tank to fall over the edge; its driver is the last to clear and is hanging on the edge half way down the glacier, almost near the bomber. Inside the plane, Alpine finds the flight logs and begins reading them as Airtight quickly disarms the 40 year old very simple by modern standards arming system. The HISS driver starts shooting at them in the plane. As Alpine fires back, the driver falls but one of his shots ruptures one of the toxin tanks. Airtight quickly evaluates the toxin and since it isn't lethal until it mixes, he opens a value releasing into the wind the agent. It isn't deadly but it is flammable. Several Cobra snow troopers are repelling down, as Snow Job and Breaker bring up Alpine and Airtight. As the troopers reach the bomber one of their steal cleats sparks setting off an explosion that blows up the plane.
The Joes and Ibraham's forces assault the Nazi compound, having succeeded in defeating the defenses, they all meet up with Recondo and the Doctor inside. Dial Tone receives a message from Breaker in Greenland.
From the flight logs, Alpine tells the story of the downed bomber. There were two bombers, one landed because of a hydraulic failure, the other with the nerve toxin lands to support it. The pilot is the Doctor and he kills all of the soldiers takes the gold and leaves the plane with the gas behind. Then he goes to Buenos Aires where he lives a life of luxury until Ibraham found him. His fellow Nazis thought that he had been living a life of poverty and were harboring him without payment.
So the deal is off and the Joes and Ibraham leave the doctor behind. As they walk away, the Doctor is gun downed by his own fellow Nazis for treachery.
Somewhere in the Middle East, Stalker, Leatherneck and Slip Stream are eating with an American jetfighter mercenary named Deke. Deke, a veteran American MIG killer pilot, was shot down and spent 3 years as POW. After returning to the States he couldn't get a job flying and Colonel Sharif, the local leader, is paying good money for pilots, so Deke signed up. The meeting was set up so Deke could give the Joes a map with all of Colonel Sharif's SAM (Surface to Air Missile) sites, as well as the current where bouts of aircraft storage, airplane equipment and maintenance crew housing. In return, Deke takes a stack of cash. Leatherneck warns Deke to stay away from the air base tonight. The local shop owner over hears the conversation and calls the authorities.
In Colonel Sharif's office, Captain Habib reports that his spy has informed him of the meeting Deke had with the Americans. Colonel Sharif orders Deke to be detained, questioned, shot and the Americans found.
Back at a garage, Crank-Case is hard at work at modifying a van for their coming assault.
At police headquarters, Cap. Habib is beating Deke in order to gain information on the location of the Americans. Deke refuses to give any information and Sgt. Abdul continues to beat him. Finally, Cap. Habib threatens to poke out his eyes and Deke gives up the location of the Joe's garage. After the verbal confession, they want Deke to sign a written confession. So Sharif unties him, tells him there is one secret SAM site and calls him a coward. Deke kicks Sharif in the head, smashes a chair over the guard and then makes his escape.
At the garage, the finishing touches of metal plating and self sealing tires are added to the van, over the radio Stalker gives Ace all the SAM coordinates, Ace initiates air attacks and Colonel Sharif's men show up outside the garage. Busting out Leatherneck shoots a grenade into an armored personnel carrier (APC) that jams up the road as Crank Case speeds away. A car chase happens with other APC's in hot pursuit. The Joes get some help from the Royalists as they destroy the APC's in pursuit, Stalker response is "It always pays to call ahead."
High above the airfield, Ace is leading a large bomber and fighter force. They are taking out the SAM sites, and preparing to bomb the airfield.
The Joe team busts the gates of the airfield and as they close on their mission goal, the van's engine is damaged, so they have to go on foot. Elsewhere at the airfield, Deke has made his way to a fighter jet.
The Joes mission has been to get Slip Stream to a Russian YAK-36, a Russian version of the American Harrier jump jet. But the one problem is that the hydraulics where pulled for repair. So Slip Stream comes up with the idea of putting the Yak-36 in one of the large cargo aircraft called the Super Condor. As the American Air Force is dropping bombs on the airfield, the Super Condor is able to take off with all aboard.
Colonel Sharif sees the Joes taking off and takes command of the last secret SAM site. Deke having gotten in an unarmed MIG comes up next to Slip Stream, waves to them and then kamikaze style crashes his plane into Colonel Sharif's last SAM site. Deke dies as does Sharif to save the Joe team.
In the air above Southeast Asia, Wild Bill is flying an airplane with a captured Cobra Firebat inside its hold. An October Guard Hind helicopter is easily damaging the plane. Inside the hold, Lifeline is trying to take out the black box of the Firebat, Roadblock is firing at the Hind and Leatherneck is encouraging Lifeline to hurry up. Wild Bill calls for a bailout, as they parachute to the ground Leatherneck fires a heat seeking missile at the Hind which destroys the tail and causes the October Guard to crash in the jungle below.
Lifeline is trapped up in a tree. Leatherneck very concerned about Lifeline's abilities in the field, especially since refusal to fight and the danger that brings to the team.
Both teams are now headed to the downed Joe plane to retrieve the Firebat's black box. Along the way Lifeline helps remove leaches and stops Leatherneck from shooting a tiger. As they approach the plane, Leatherneck discovers the October Guard ambush and a huge fire fight opens up between the two teams. Leatherneck and Wild Bill are both shot, as are Stormavik and Schrage. The Joes retreat with Roadblock carrying Wild Bill and Lifeline carrying Leatherneck.
The October Guard is first to get to the airplane. Diana then removes the black box and Stormavik and Schrage wounds are bandaged. Leaving a treated Wild Bill temporary behind, the Joes make an attempt to regain the plane. As the two teams fight, an unexpected third party shows up with superior fire power, river pirates lead by Sarawak Sally.
Both the October Guard and Joe team are captured and detained inside the hold of the pirate river boat. On the deck is a dual is happening with the loser being shot by Sally. Sally then brings the two teams out of the hold.
After drawing straws, Horrorshow and Lifeline are chosen to fight; which ever wins that team goes free with the black box. Lifeline claims to be a non-combatant and refuses to fight. But he is attacked by Horrorshow, using Aikido a non offensive form of martial arts, Lifeline easily defeats Horrorshow. Sally hands Lifeline a gun and tells him to kill Horrorshow. Lifeline refuses. He makes a deal with Sally to save the lives of all members of both teams. He gives Sally the black box and tells her she can make lots money selling it to Cobra. Leatherneck extremely pissed that Lifeline is giving away the mission, almost attacks Lifeline but Roadblock holds him back.
Then surprisingly, Sally just releases both teams and drops the black box into the river. And she lets them all go saying "simply because one of you has the courage of his convictions."
On Cobra Island, a Cobra ground crew is readying a Night Raven, Cobra's new stealth plane, for a scheduled takeoff. The helicopter rescue crew is taking a look at the new plane. One of the rescue crew asks what the breakout tool is used for, the maintenance crew explains that it is used to bust the window on the canopy if the canopy is jammed allowing the pilot to escape. The very arrogant Strato-Viper shows up screaming that these rescue crew guys get away from his plane. Plus, he physically abuses his maintenance crew as he is loading into the plane for the night's recon of a Florida Air Force base.
In Florida, they monitor the Night Raven's approach.
Slip Stream and Ace are ready to go up and meet the Night Raven, although their orders are only to return fire if fired upon first. As they head to their planes, they pass the rescue pilots, Jonesy, Peaches and Lowball, who they were drinking with the night before. The maintenance crew reports that they spent the evening replacing a part on Slip Stream's Conquest, it checks out clean now. Slip Stream gives a Transformer toy as a gift to one of the crew members in thanks for the hard work.
Later, Ace and Slip Stream approach the Night Raven. Ace, in his Skystriker, is initially below with Slip Stream, in his Conquest, directly behind. Ace circles to above the Night Raven and then inverts himself so he is upside down and they are cockpit to cockpit. Having taunted the Strato-Viper, Ace pulls ahead of the Night Raven. The pissed off the Strato-Viper simultaneously fires a missile that hits Ace's Skystriker and drops a flare that momentarily blinds Slip Stream.
Ace has to immediately eject as the Skystriker is done for. He lands in the water safely and the rescue crew is launched as fast as possible.
Slip Stream with clear vision now has the Night Raven directly behind him. He releases his own flare and does an evasive maneuver that stalls his engine, all as a way to avoid the Night Raven's attack. Slip Stream's plane starts falling as the Night Raven takes off thinking the Conquest is done. Using all of his piloting skills he gets the engine restarted and recovers just above the surface of the ocean. Slip Stream proclaims "Ain't American technology wonderful".
The Night Raven is having electronic problems caused by Slip Stream's flare. The threat indicator isn't working as well as several other failures. The Strato-Viper complains about his plane's maintenance failures. As he is distracted by these failures, Slip Stream comes up behind him firing his main guns and a sidewinder missile which all do damage to the Night Raven that is beyond recovery.
The Strato-Viper's Night Raven is going down. As he tries to get back in range of the rescue choppers, he realizes that his canopy won't eject and the manual release won't work either. The Cobra rescue crews take their time loading up and refuse to burn their chopper in the red to save the Strato-Viper. The Strato-Viper's negativity and abusive behavior towards his crews is paying off in a negative way as his Night Raven crashes in the ocean. The plane is slowly sinking and he can't find his breakout tool.
Slip Stream watches the Night Raven crash into the ocean and then flies past Ace to make sure he is ok. Ace's rescue crew is super fast to pick him up and all return to base safe.
The Cobra rescue helicopter arrives just as the Night Raven slips under the surface with the Strato-Viper still trapped inside. Instead of making an effort to save him, they just talk about how the canopy was overdue for maintenance and that the breakout tool was missing from the cockpit. One of the rescue crew tosses the breakout tool into the ocean.
In Borovia, Outback has just slipped down through a sewer grate. Above him is the injured Snow Job and Quick Kick with Stalker protecting them, he has just been ordered by Stalker to leave his teammates behind. The mission that they were on has gone very wrong and Colonel Ratnikov's Army has surrounded the Joe team.
Outback's new mission is to escape and report back to Hawk what really happened. As Stalker, Snow Job and Quick Kick are loaded up into a truck to be taken to a gulag prison; Outback takes off down the sewer. Col. Ratnikov realizes that Outback is missing and has his soldiers begin searching for him, including the sewers.
Using a compass and a Michelin guide Outback makes his way to the outskirts of the city. Ratnikov orders his troops to fill the sewers with gas and light it up. Outback sensing that something is wrong climbs out of the sewer just as the flames go past him. His exit brings him to a market, where he steals some clothing to disguise himself, makes a deal with a chicken farmer to buy his truck and takes off out of the city towards the border.
Col. Ratnikov has closed the border and intensified the search for Outback. His soldiers discover the chicken farmer, who then agrees to help Ratnikov find Outback.
Driving along, Outback sees a hitchhiker thinking it is better to travel with another person he picks up the hitchhiker. The hitchhiker pulls gun on Outback and threatens to kill him. As the truck is headed down a hill, Outback slams on the breaks forcing the hitchhiker into the window, just to make sure Outback slams his head into the window a couple more times. He then jumps out of the truck as it goes off the road.
Col. Ratnikov and the chicken farmer are in a helicopter when they spot the crashed truck. After landing, they follow a blood trail that Outback has left behind. The blood trail leads to Outback laying face down in the snow. As they approach the body, Outback jumps up from the side catching Ratnikov off guard. He had set a trap using his clothing to look like he was dead. He then takes Ratnikov's clothing and they climb in the helicopter and he destroys the helicopter's compass. Guiding the chopper with his personal compass, he guides the helicopter to a specific area and then jumps out of with a parachute.
Outback has guided them to the border, not realizing that they have crossed the border's air space the helicopter is blown up with Ratnikov inside it. The border guards then capture Outback, who asks to see the American Consul.
In New York City at the Cobra Consulate Building, a small group of Sierra Gordo counter-revolutionaries called Menshevikistans attack without notice. They drive a truck straight into the lobby, kill several vipers, head directly to the basement of the Consulate and barricade themselves into the boiler room. The leaders Evita and Juan start making demands for Cobra to pull all of its armed forces out of Sierra Gordo and establish their group has the head of the government otherwise they will blow up the Cobra Consulate.
The Baroness and Zarana are caught completely off guard. Using the close circuit cameras, they see the counter-revolutionaries drilling holes in the main support columns of the building. And inside of those holes they are putting explosives that where recently sold to them.
The Baroness wanting to keep Serpentor updated uses the rooftop satellite communication system to talk directly to him. Serpentor's response to the Baroness is for her to solve the situation herself or be replaced. The replacement would be Zarana.
The Baroness then orders an assault on the boiler room, which of course fails with the death of a squad of vipers. In retaliation, the Sierra Gordoians activate a bomb in the truck that is still parked in the lobby, pretty much destroying the lobby. The Baroness believes that they will blow up the building and calls for an evacuation. Zarana seeing an opportunity to take over criticizes her decision which starts a fight that Dr. Mindbender stops. As part of the evacuation the roof detail leaves its post.
On an adjacent rooftop, Chuckles, Dial Tone, Psyche-Out and Lady Jaye are monitoring the Consulate Building. Listening through a parabolic microphone they hear the Baroness' conversation with Serpentor and Zarana, Chuckles asks Psyche-Out if the mission is a go. Psyche-Out's response is "I think she'll perform according to our projected scenario. Let's go ahead." Dial Tone then radios Tunnel Rat and Breaker who are in the sewer system; they cut the power line to the Consulate Building which sends the entire building into darkness.
Dial Tone, Chuckles and Lady Jaye, while the lights are out, use hang gliders to reach the top of the building. As soon as they land Lady Jaye and Chuckles set up a perimeter as Dial Tone inserts a bugging device into the main satellite communication line so all communications can be monitored. They then get approval from Psyche-Out, who is still monitoring the Baroness, to start the escape procedure.
Inside the Consulate, still in the dark, the Baroness and Zarana are arguing over who is in charge and in the basement Evita and Juan of the Sierra Gordoians are arguing over control of the detonator.
Breaker and Tunnel Rat then restore the power. And the Baroness comes on the television in the basement talking to the Sierra Gordoians about how they have no guts and actually dares them to blow up the building basically she is calling their bluff. The real Baroness watches the television, also. Lady Jaye disguised as the Baroness is actually the one calling the bluff of the Gordoians.
In the basement, Evita has been able to take control of the detonator from Juan. And hearing the Baroness/Lady Jaye calling their bluff she says "I won't be made a fool of" and then pushes the detonator button. Expecting an explosion the Gordoians & Cobra instead get riot gas.
The gas debilitates everyone inside the Consulate Building by temporarily choking and blinding all The Joes wearing gas masks as they just walk out.
Basically, Chuckles & Psyche-Out set up the entire plan including selling the explosives/riot gas, planning the mission, evaluating their psych profiles, drawing the wiring diagrams, giving them Cobra Consulate Building plans and encouraging the Sierra Gordoians to attack Cobra all as a cover for planting a bug in Cobra's communication system.
Flying in a super silent airplane, the Joe team of Beach Head, Flint, Footloose, Leatherneck, Low Light, Tunnel Rat and Wet Suit are preparing to parachute out into the jungle of Thailand. CIA Agent Anderson is briefing them on their mission. He has given them the preplanned drop site as well as the ambush site for a convoy and their extraction route. He then proceeds to talk directly to Low Light giving him a photo of his target, Theron Portland. Portland is traitor and a spy, he was working at a secret surveillance site when he stole the computer chips and skipped across the border. Low Light's mission is to extract Portland and if he determines him to be unextractable he needs to be rendered "unoperational". Anderson then gives the team two radios and asks that they give a radio squelch when they make contact at the ambush site.
With Beach Head on point the team moves out on long hike to the ambush site. Along the way they investigate the radios that Anderson gave them and find inside a part that they are unfamiliar with. Low Light expresses his concerns about how he feels Anderson is setting up the Joe team. Flint then orders everyone to prepare for the ambush. Once they are in position they wait. And wait.
Finally, a kid on a water buffalo comes down the trail singing. And right behind the kid is the convoy. The convoy they where assigned to ambush is actually an armored column and the Joe team is way out gunned and numbered. The leader of the column shoots the water buffalo in order to clear the trail. Doing as order Wet Suit gives the radio squelch, the radio immediately begins to make a screeching noise giving away the surprise of the ambush. Wet Suit has to destroy the radio to get to stop.
Tunnel Rat, Leatherneck and the rest of the Joes begin to fire at the column, but with the column's fire superiority the Joes are quickly pushed back. Low Light gets Portland in his sites just as he is about to fire; Portland escapes from the column into the jungle. He then heads off on his own to catch Portland. The other team radio begins to screech, but Footloose takes out the odd part and saves the radio. Flint calls for a retreat with Footloose, Tunnel Rat and Leatherneck covering the rear.
As Low Light is chasing after Portland, he spots the leader of the column, who is about to shoot the kid and takes him out with one shot on run.
The Joe team is much faster then the column's soldiers and easily make a clean escape to the extraction point, where they call Wild Bill.
As the extraction chopper shows up, Low Light, alone, comes running to the chopper with the column's soldiers chasing him. As he is pulled into the chopper he asks "Where is Anderson?"
An explanation by Wild Bill sums up the mission. CIA Agent Anderson had set up the mission to fail from the beginning. Portland was meant to defect with the chips. The ambush was to give him credibility as a turned asset and the Joes meant to fail. Anderson then asks what happen with Portland. Low Light had refused to kill an unarmed man begging for his life and left him behind. Anderson laughs saying that he expected Low Light to do that. But what he didn't expect was for Low Light to steal the chips, which he did. So the Joes accomplished their mission, but caused Anderson's manipulative mission to fail.
In Afghanistan, two Hind helicopters are attacking an Afghan rebel village. The Hind's are lured into a valley where they are shot down by two stinger missiles. The two stingers, along with 12 more, are a trade item for three captive Russian soldiers. The CIA set up the deal and the Joes Lt. Falcon, Psyche-Out and Slip Stream are tasked with "rescuing" these released prisoners. The Joes dress up like Russian Spetsnaz (the Russian version of the Special Forces) soldiers and go "rescue" their captive compatriots.
Spetsnaz soldiers Lt. Gomorov, Sgt. Orlov and Prt. Pritkin feel as if they have been rescued and fall for the trap the Joes are setting. They march off as Psyche-Out explains a new mission to the Russians. They are to recapture from the Iranian's a captured American CIA field agent named Chip Tolar. And they are to do it disguised as GI Joe agents.
They get in an old WWII airplane and Slip Stream flies them to the destination near Tehran, Iran.
After giving them a full brief on where to find and rescue Chip Tolar the Russians parachute out of the plane, only to meet up later at the airfield for extraction.
Once the Russians are away from the Joe team, the express to each other how they aren't fooled by the American imposters. But they realize that they still don't have any options other then to continue the mission. They then are picked up by a bus filled with a religious minority group that is happy to help the Americans (the disguised Russians). So the Russians assault the building where Chip Tolar is held. After a successful rescue, they all make their escape using the same bus.
Arriving at the Joes airplane, Tolar demands that the locals who helped them get political asylum and have to be flown out as well. So they all load up into the plane, the Iranian army is coming, and Slip Stream causes a huge dust cloud that covers their exit.
As they are flying away, they realize that the Russian soldiers didn't get on the plane. And since the plane is going to gather lots of attention as it heads south, the Russians should be able to march north to Russia without interference.
Chuckles and Roadblock are sent to Oxford, England to escort Prince Ngoto back to his native country of Kalingaland. Several of the Prince's enemies are outside his house as the Joes arrive. A gun fight takes place between the two groups for Prince Ngoto. As the Joes take care of the guys outside they hear a shotgun go off inside the house. Concerned that they may have failed their mission, the Joes rush the house. They discover inside that Prince Ngoto, actually a 50ish professor of English, not a kid like they expected, has shot the last of his enemies.
Chuckles and Roadblock drive him to the airport where they get on a commercial plane. Once inside, they recognize two guys as potential threats. Roadblock discovers that there are guns in the catering. At lunch time, the two guys pull out there guns and fire them at the Prince, except they don't work. Roadblock had pulled the firing pins from the guns, the guys are then restrained and they finish the flight. After landing in the Canary Islands, the Joes and Ngoto transfer to a military cargo plane with Wild Bill, Lift Ticket and Slip Stream at the controls.
As they enter Kalingaland air space, a MIG jet attacks them. Using several tricks the cargo plane is able to make him miss with his all missiles. And the final trick is opening the back gate and having Roadblock fire his .50 caliber at the jet. The damage causes the pilot to eject. Wild Bill then sets the plane down just long enough for Chuckles to drive an AWE Striker out the back with the Prince and Roadblock.
Next they arrive in capital just as the last of the Russians have been defeated. The Prince's timing is perfect. He immediately marches up to a podium and gives a speech. He is going to have elections where the people can elect any kind of government they want. He is also expelling the Russian and American ambassadors from the country. Prince Ngoto wants a completely influence free country. The US Ambassador is mad because the US helped funded Prince Ngoto's revolution.
The Joes recognize the Prince for what he is a friend and leader of a now free country.
A hostage situation is happening inside an American PX (Post Office) in West Germany. Joes Chuckles, Low Light and Dial Tone have been observing for the last 12 hours. Using video tape from different sources Chuckles has nicknamed the four thieves Rudi, the leader, Carlos, the weapons expect, Jane, the dilettante, and Faoud the explosive experts. The thieves assaulted the PX in order to steal thousand of dollars from a safe. As they were exiting, two MP's were waiting outside by the exit. Faoud was the first out of the door and the MP's kill him. The MP's then force the thieves back into the PX. Since then there have been no demands and no communication.
A high jacked airplane lands at the airport. The Joes rush off to investigate, along the way Dial Tone discovers that there is an observer monitoring their route to the airport, plus he monitors communication between the airplane terrorists and the PX thieves. Chuckles calls in Lady Jaye, Scarlett and Jinx to help with situation.
Chuckles plan involves switching Scarlett, Lady Jaye and Jinx disguised as nurses with the PX employees. The thieves want an armored car. So an exchange happens; the female Joes for the armored car. The thieves handcuff and blindfold the female Joes and load them in the armored car.
Chuckles plan uses the spotter to their advantage. The route to airport has one area where the spotter can't see the car. The Joes are planning on taking out the thieves in this small blind spot. Chuckles, Low Light and Dial Tone jump on a train that meets the thieves coming from the other direction. Using the train's bell, they signal the female Joes inside the armor car. Scarlett cuffed to the rearview mirror temporary knocks out Carlos the driver, Jinx & Lady Jaye, in the back, defeat Jane and Rudi. Then Low Light & Dial Tone climb in the back door as Chuckles climbs in the front door. Carlos wakes up and Chuckles kills him. The car comes out of the blind spot just fine and the all clear is given to the terrorists holding the plane.
They arrive at the airport and the high jacked airplane. With Chuckles, Low Light and Dial Tone now disguised as the thieves escorting their hostage nurses. They gain access to the airplane. Once inside, Jinx knocks out the first terrorist, Claude and using him as a body shield shoots the next one, Stig. After the plane is clear, Chuckles quickly jumps on helicopter to go get the spotter.
In Orange County near New York City, an air show is happening. Bert Pherim and his co-pilot Ed fly an old bi-wing called the Stearman PT-17 Kaydet are part of the air show. The Stearman is a bi-wing plane that can be controlled from both the front and back seat. Additional airplanes are performing but the stars of the show are the Joe team.
Ace in the Skystriker, Slip Stream in the Conquest X-30 and Maverick in the brand new Vector appear and do several aerial tricks that excite the audience. The finale is sky writing with the letters G.I. Joe!
After landing the Joes goes for interviews, but first Maverick, a bi-wing plane enthusiast, stops by to talk to Bert about his Stearman. Maverick as a kid had flown with his crop dusting mother in a similar plane, but he hasn't been up in one in years. Bert offers to give Maverick a ride.
Firefly busts onto the airfield, drops a smoke bomb that debilitates Ace & Slip Stream. Taking advantage of the gas, Firefly steals the electronic bays of both the Skystriker and Conquest then steals the Vector.
Maverick up in the air with Bert spots the Vector being stolen. They take off after the Vector in the old Stearman. The Vector a much faster plane is flying slowly so as to not get lost, which allows the Stearman to catch up. A strange dogfight happens. Basically, the Vector tries to get the Stearman in a kill position but the unarmed maneuverability of the Stearman always allows it to avoid the fast less maneuverable Vector every time.
But the Stearman runs out of gas forcing Bert to land at the Accord Speedway, where he knows the owner Smitty Smithers. Firefly flies off as the Stearman lands for refueling. Smithers' fills up the tank and off they go again to track down the Vector.
Several Air Force jets were tracking the Vector when it just disappeared off the radar. In the area, Bert and Maverick spot a garbage barge on the river. The Vector is a VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) aircraft, Maverick suspects that the plane is on the barge. As they investigate the garbage barge, they spot the tail fins which are the only part of the plane not hidden by the garbage. By now the barge has entered New York Harbor and there is no place to land the Stearman except on the Intrepid, the permanent aircraft carrier memorial and museum located on the Hudson River.
Escaping from the Intrepid with the cops on their tails, they steal a boat and head towards the barge. They sneak onto the barge, but Firefly spots them and starts firing at them. Maverick returns fire but Firefly all of sudden gives up, the NYC police have surrounded the barge to arrest Maverick and Bert but Firefly doesn't know that.
Much later after being released by Cap Nelson of the NYPD, Maverick and Bert are back at the newly cleaned Vector, Bert's plane was already sent back to upstate, so Bert asks for a ride in Maverick's Vector, Maverick response is "the regs state clearly that I can't give an unauthorized civilian a ride, however... the regs don't mention a thing about letting a civilian drive."
Outback and Dusty are leading a final training mission for two probationary Joe recruits, Lightfoot and Mangler. In Trucial Abysmia, Africa they have stumbled upon an ambush by the Abysmal Liberation Army lead by Captain Yusef and Political Officer Amen.
Cap. Yusef against Amen's advice calls off the ambush and uses his snipers to shoot out the tires. Once the truck slows the Joes are easily captured. Amen wants information, so he picks Lightfoot to be beaten. Yusef protests the beating not believing that it is the proper way to get information. Because Lightfoot hasn't talked after hours of a beating, Amen takes the next step in torture using electricity.
A completely beaten Lightfoot gives up the all information about the mission. Basically, the US Army pulled out of Trucial Abysmia when the new Marxist government took over, one cache of parts for the secret stealth plane, along with additional weapons and supplies, was missed and the Joe team was sent in to blow up the cache. Mangler lays into Lightfoot saying "they should shoot you. You traitor. If I wasn't hogtied I would shoot you myself. You told them everything." Dusty understanding what Lightfoot has gone through kicks Mangler telling him lay off.
Cap. Yusef again protests Amen's actions. Amen looking for a promotion is going after the cache himself against Yusef's advice. Amen leaves Yusef with the Joes and orders him to "shoot them and bury them deep". Lightfoot says "I'm the sole victim and the only proof of torture. Shoot me and let the others go." Yusef pulls the gun away refusing to execute the Joes. He tells them that 40 miles to the west is the cache and 20 miles east is a safe town, he gives them one canteen of water and drives off.
Mangler being very rude calls the mission off and suggests going east because of Lightfoot ruining the mission. Lightfoot points out that the mission is to get him to the cache so he can blow it up and it's the other Joes job to get him there. Then Lightfoot tries to get up and walk, but he can't.
Outback decides they are going to run the 40 miles to complete the mission. Dusty using his desert skills leads the run to the west where they run 20 miles a night, with Mangler carrying Lightfoot. Along the run Mangler refuses let Outback or Dusty carry Lightfoot.
At dawn two days later they reach the cache. Amen still hasn't opened it yet and hasn't informed headquarters so the mission isn't compromised. The next day the cache is opened with Yusef and Amen going inside to discover sidewinder missiles, radar systems, non-military goods and more. Amen wants to keep the non-military goods for himself and spreads around some Scotch to the troops.
Later, the Joes sneak into the cache, along the way they took out several perimeter guards and took their guns and a thermate grenade. Inside the cache, Lightfoot takes apart the thermate grenade to use the trigger to start a bigger explosion. Using flour and cocoa from the non-military supplies Lightfoot is going to create enough explosive material to entirely destroy the cache. They light the fuse, close to door and get clear of the cache.
In his tent, Amen is calling headquarters to report his find; the cache explodes with a massive signature. The Joes have stolen an armored car and are driving away. Amen spots them and sends all of his men after them. In the armored car, Mangler apologizes for his words and Lightfoot forgives him saying "If it hadn't been for you carrying me, I'd never have gotten there."
The armored car they picked is slowing and Amen and Yusef along with the rest of the soldiers are gaining. They have little choice going faster blows the engine, slowing down means being captured. Mangler jumps off the armored car saying "I'll buy us some time." Mangler shoots through the view ports of the Amen's armor car killing its driver causing it to crash into several of the other cars, the Joes are able to escape. Mangler is killed by the crashing armored cars.
Outback and Dusty talk about Mangler and his actions. Because he wasn't a team player, Outback was going to be washing him out of GI Joe. But because of his sacrifice he will put him in for a posthumous decoration. Outback says "Why not? He was a hero wasn't he? Heck, the only real heroes are the dead ones"
In the Himalayas, there is a Hidden Valley that has been kept secret for centuries. That Valley is in the Forbidden Mountains located within the area know as Chomo Lungma. 20 years ago the Chinese invaded and conquered Chomo Lungma, now making it a protectorate of China. The Chinese Military has established a large presence and is actually relocation children for reeducation.
An American CIA agent named Cullen Esterhazy was sent to Chomo Lungma to help organize a resistance. He selected 300 soldiers and took them to Colorado for training. After returning to Chomo Lungma, they began making raids on the Chinese using the Hidden Valley and specifically an ancient Monastery as their base of operations. Their raids were so successful that an agreement is made between the Chinese Military and Chomo Lungma. The agreement is that no one new comes into the Hidden Valley, especially Americans, and the Chinese Military leaves the Valley alone. After the deal, Esterhazy was then called back to the US. He refused to go and disappeared into myth. For years the mysterious "White Devil from Virginia" has been harassing the Chinese military.
Through secret channels, the current Chinese government has informed the Americans that Esterhazy's activity is unwelcome and they need to handle their man before it becomes a bigger international issue.
So Chuckles, Iceberg, Scarlett and Snake-Eyes are sent to collect Esterhazy and bring him back to the US alive. CIA Agent Anderson, who is also on the mission, has a different set of mission orders.
As the Joe plane carrying the team & piloted by Iceberg, enters a pass to the Hidden Valley, a Chinese anti-aircraft battery fires at them hitting the engine and starting a fire inside the plane. At the same time, a Sgt Wu reports to Colonel Peng that his unit has just shot down an American airplane. Sgt. Wu is an intelligence officer who has been hunting for the "White Devil from Virginia". Colonel Peng recognizes that the agreement has been broken and marshals his troops and tanks for an invasion of the Hidden Valley.
The Joe plane limps into the Hidden Valley as they enter they see, standing on rock pinnacle, the mysterious Abbot of the Hidden Monastery. Iceberg then crashes the plane on a plateau.
At the crash site, the Abbot of the Hidden Monastery shows up to make sure that everyone is ok. Anderson immediately begins mouthing off about Esterhazy. A group of freedom fighters rides up with Esterhazy in charge. Anderson and Esterhazy begin arguing about his actions and how they are effecting the relations between the two countries. Esterhazy points out that he was discharged from the CIA 20 years ago. Tenzing, Esterhazy's second in command, brings a message that the Chinese Army is coming through the same pass the Joes just came through.
Esterhazy charges off with his freedom fighters to attack the Chinese, the Joes and Anderson follow along, so as not to lose him.
Using the natural advantages of the valley, the freedom fighters fire down on the Chinese causing the column to bottleneck. The Chinese give themselves smoke cover but it doesn't stop the freedom fighters from killing the soldiers and destroying the tanks. Colonel Peng orders the Army to charge up the hill towards the freedom fighters. Low on ammo Esterhazy orders the freedom fighters to charge. The Joes and Anderson who have remained neutral are also forced to fight. The Chinese Army soldiers scared of the devils soldiers turn and run. Esterhazy doesn't press the attack choosing to allow the Army to get away and regroup.
As the Joes, Anderson, Esterhazy and the freedom fighters sit by the fire in the evening, Esterhazy brings up the orders of Anderson's mission. He suspects that Anderson has an assignment to bring him back alive or dead but not to let him continue. Scarlett assures Esterhazy that the Joes mission is bring him back alive. Esterhazy's men then hold the team at gunpoint.
A lot later the Chinese Army returns and sets up to assault the Monastery.
Chuckles, Snake-Eyes, Scarlett and Iceberg along with CIA Agent Anderson have partially accomplished their mission by finding rogue CIA Agent Cullen Esterhazy in the Hidden Valley of Chomo Lungma. The second part of their mission is to bring Esterhazy back to the US.
Chomo Lungma is a protectorate of China. The Chinese Military are currently assaulting the Hidden Valley; they have used the fact that the Joes have entered Valley as a reason to invade. The second attack by Colonel Peng is on the Hidden Valley Monastery, a completely undefended 500 year old piece of culture. Tenzing, Esterhazy's second in command, demands that they go help defend the Abbot and his Monastery. Esterhazy points out that the Chinese Military is a reinforced armor column and that they are only a few soldiers on horseback.
A portion of Esterhazy's forces attack the Monastery without his guidance. They are all slaughtered. He has just lost most of his forces in one uncontrolled, wasted attack. As a way of stopping the attack Esterhazy believes he should turn himself into Col Peng. Agent Anderson agrees with the decision believing that it will be the end of his life. Scarlett speaks up that the Joes mission is to bring Esterhazy back to the US alive.
Iceberg rides up saying "are we going to rescue the Abbot or are we going to have another discussion panel." The Joes purpose a deal with Esterhazy, they will help him rescue the Abbot if he agrees to come back to the US. Esterhazy agrees to the deal.
The Monastery situated on the edge of 500 ft cliff is well defended by Colonel Peng's tanks and soldiers. The Joes, Esterhazy and the rest of the remaining freedom fighters scale the cliff as a way of secretly attacking the Monastery. The Abbot is locked in a store room. Esterhazy, Snake-Eyes and Tenzing go to rescue the Abbot, Iceberg tasked with opening the gate, Anderson and Scarlett with disable the vehicles, Chuckles will get the escape vehicle and several of freedom fighters will cover all of them. As each member accomplishes their mission, Snake-Eyes frees the Abbot and the additional freedom fighters take it upon themselves to attack Colonel Peng and Sgt Wu on their own. Sgt Wu is killed as Colonel Peng kills the last of his attackers.
The Abbot, Joes, Anderson, Esterhazy and Tenzing all board a truck to escape. With all of the vehicles, including the tanks disabled the only vehicle is a hidden armored car. Peng loads up in that car and chases after them.
They get to the exit of Valley to find that it has been blocked. So they abandon the truck and go on foot. With Peng's forces close on their trail, Esterhazy elects to stay behind to protect them, sacrificing his life.
At the next village, the Abbot and Tenzing tell the Joes that they aren't continuing and in fact they are going back to help reorganize a new resistance. Anderson then makes a drastic decision to stay. The Abbot understands why Anderson is staying he saw Esterhazy make the same decision years ago. And make a point that Anderson is truly part of the endless cycle of life.
The Joes walk off to find their own extraction.
In the aftermath of the Cobra Island Civil War, Cobra Commander (actually Fred VII) and Dr. Mindbender are putting a plan together based on information from Zartan. Watching overhead is the Joe team's satellite. In the Pit III Hawk, Lady Jaye, Stalker and Mainframe are watching Zartan and Cobra Commander managing a massive airlift. They see a crate labeled farm equipment bust open to see that it contains a couch. A very suspicious Hawk approves a mission to take closer pictures of the Cobra Island airfield.
Wild Bill, with Lady Jaye and Mainframe inside, pilots an ECM (Electric Counter Measures) plane, supported by Slip Stream in his Conquest and Ace and Lift Ticket in the Skystriker. Ghost Rider in the Stealth plane is on his way to take pictures of the Cobra Island airfield. The plan is for Wild Bill's plane to be a decoy, so Ghost Rider can make an unhindered run to take the photos.
On Cobra Island in airfield's ready room, Strato-Vipers are bragging about how their synthetically reinforced bodies help them defeat their opponents by being able to turn inside of them off them by pulling more gees (gravity). The Star Viper, a very special super enhanced soldier even more then the Strato-Vipers, brags that with his reflexes he can do even better.
The Joes flight comes up on the Cobra radar and the interceptor wing is scrambled. The Stiletto piloted by the Star Viper, 4 Rattlers and 2 Night Ravens head off to meet the Joe planes. The Stiletto isn't track able on the Joe radar. So it catches them off guard. Wild Bill releases chaff and flares as well as using the planes ECM to jam Cobra's radar.
Ace avoids a missile which hits another Rattler, Ace fires at the Stiletto but misses, Slip Stream then saves Ace by destroying another Rattler, as a Rattler skims the waves Slip Stream forces him to crash into the water. With the radar jammed, the Cobra planes are unable to fly as a team, giving a big advantage to the two Joe planes. The Stiletto finds Wild Bill's radar plane. Lady Jaye using a machine gun fires at the Star Viper just annoying him. He tries to fire a missile at Wild Bill but they dropped aerial mines that throw off the Stiletto's aim.
Meanwhile, Ghost Rider has been skimming the waves in his Stealth plane undetected by Cobra's radar to take the pictures of the airfield. His fly by of the airfield causes the all the Cobra airplanes to break off there attack to intercept the Stealth plane.
This call saves Wild Bill as the Stiletto disengages to hunt for the Stealth. They catch him as he hugs the waves. Several of the planes fire at him but all miss as he is untrackable. Slip Stream and Ace each take out a Rattler and Night Raven clearing the air except for the Stiletto. The Stealth and Stiletto go head to head and then turn on each other. As they are making the turn the Star Viper hits his enhancements that are supposed to help him beat a regular pilot. Ghost Rider is on the edge of passing out, the Star Viper enhancements short circuit causing his plane to crash in the ocean. The Joes go home to look at their pictures.
On Cobra Island at the docks, the core group of Cobra's new secret base of operations is being loaded onto a container ship with its final destination somewhere inside the continental United States. The airfield activities were a decoy.
In the Pit III, Dusty wakes up Shockwave, Hardball, Hit & Run and Muskrat. They have mission to go on. Stalker, as the team leader, joins them as they fly off to Siliconville, California to help solve a local hostage situation.
The hostages are being held in a very high tech research facility that has several major defense contracts. The design of the building is very much like a bunker with no windows on the first and second floors, slit windows on the top third floor, bank type solid steel doors and concrete reinforced walls.
On site, Scarlett and Sneak Peak are trying to persuade the local Chief of Police, Chief Mortimer, no to storm the building. Mr. Freen, the owner of the company, is advising for immediacy on action. As his police officers assault the building they are cut down, FBI Inspector Saxon makes a brave move that rescues an injured Mortimer.
On the top floor, Scrap Iron has a squad of BAT's disguised as the terrorists. And on the second floor a Techno & Toxo Viper are cutting into a vault and on the first floor another squad of BAT's is tasked with preventing anyone from getting to the second floor.
Sneak Peak registers the different heat sources in the building and figures out that the hostages are being held on second floor, as well as the burning of vault. FBI inspector Saxon informs Stalker that the hostages may not be who they seem to be. With all of this information Stalker initiates the assault.
Hardball shoots gas grenades through the window slits on the top floor. Shockwave blows the front door open as Stalker and Hit & Run climb the wall and go into windows slits on the third floor.
On the second floor, the vault has been breached and the Techno Viper with a microfilm camera begins filming the missile guidance system diagrams. After finishing, they change back into their lab coats.
The first floor is cleared by Shockwave, Hardball and Muskrat as Stalker and Hit & Run take out third floor BAT's. The Joes discover that they are killing BAT's.
Outside, Dr. Freen and Chief Mortimer have a whispered conversation about how much trouble they will be in if this assault is to successful.
On the second floor, the Techno Viper swallows a water tight capsule of the microfilm recording. A thermate grenade is dropped in the vault destroying all of the contents which included Cobra gear and the company's account books. Scrap Iron along with the Techno and Toxo Vipers are now dressed in lab coats acting as held hostages by two BATs. The Joes then rescue the hostages.
Stalker makes sure the hostages are taken to the hospital and x-rayed, there by destroying the film, Mr. Freen and Chief Mortimer are arrested and Stalker punches Inspector Saxon for mixing the Joes up in the operation. It turns out that Mr. Freen was over billing the government and about to be discovered, so he cut a deal with Cobra in exchange for missile guidance secrets. The successful assault by the Joe team foiled all of their plans.
Chuckles, Iceberg, Scarlett and Snake-Eyes are still trying to find an extraction point from their mission to Chomo Lungma. They are currently on the Mekong River where two attempts to pick them up having failed.
Scarlett spots some river pirates beating up an old man on a nearby dock. Alongside the dock is a boat with a .50 caliber machine gun and a radio mast. One of the pirates nails up a poster in the spirit of the Uncle Sam recruitment poster that says "Big Tep wants you." Big Tep is a local bandit and presidential hopeful whose rival is General Lom and is all bad news for Joes. Chuckles suggests they stay clear as they approach their last extraction point.
Before they can do anything Snake-Eyes has jumped off the boat and is swimming towards the dock. He grabs one pirate throwing him into the river, the rest he dispatches quickly with his sword. Scarlett shoots the one on the boat manning the machine gun and Iceberg throws a grenade destroying the boat. The boat's fire is a huge signal that is going to attract unwanted attention, plus the guy in the water swims away to tell Big Tep about the attack.
The old man on the dock is actually a philosophy professor turned farmer, his name is Dr. Krim. The Doctor invites them to stay at his house; Big Tep won't be coming until morning. When Chuckles checks his map he realizes that Dr. Krim's home is the extraction site. Iceberg sends the signal for the Tomahawk to come get them.
The pirate in the river arrives down river to tell Big Tep what happened. The story is exaggerated and blames Dr. Krim. Big Tep sees an opportunity to use his new hardware that he has acquired from Voltar and the Iron Grenadiers.
Upriver from Dr. Krim, the October Guard has joined with General Lom's armored column. Colonel Brekhov suggests that they attack Big Tep's forces at Dr. Krim's farm.
The next morning the Joes are waiting for the Tomahawk, Big Tep is moving north with the Iron Grenadiers and the October Guard in support of General Lom move south. Trapped in the middle the Joes hide in the secret attic of Dr. Krim's house.
A full fledge war breaks out on Dr. Krim's farm, each side destroying many of the others tanks at the same time the fighting completely destroys all Krim's hard work. A monsoon rain storm starts changing the tide of battle in favor of Big Tep. Colonel Brekhov calls for a retreat just as General Lom is killed. The Guard has one option abandon the fight and go hide in the jungle.
The victorious Big Tep confronts Dr. Krim about the location of the Joes. Having lost everything including his water buffalos, he gives Big Tep nothing. The Joes above Big Tep fire down killing him and his lieutenants inside the house. Scarlett, Snake-Eyes and Iceberg come out the top of the thatched roof to shoot all of Big Tep's soldiers.
A bit delayed Tomahawk arrives to pick up the Joes.
Stationed on the USS Flagg in the Gulf of Thailand, Lift Ticket and Wild Bill have just finished there pre-flight check of their Tomahawk. Repeater, Lifeline and Muskrat are the flight crew and in the hold of the chopper are barrels of JP-4 jet fuel. They open there mission orders in flight. Those orders are to extract Chuckles, Snake-Eyes, Scarlett and Iceberg at a designated extraction point on the Mekong River.
In order to get to the extraction point, they are going to have to cross two different hostile airspaces, avoid Hind helicopters and conserve fuel the entire way to guarantee they make it back to the USS Flagg.
As they cross from the ocean to land they are picked up on radar as they head towards a hydroelectric dam that is completely dark. The Tomahawk approaches the dam, the spotlights go on and the guns start firing. The Tomahawk takes some damage but gets past the dam.
Lift Ticket calls for a damage report: the gyro-compass destroyed magnetic compass destroyed, front window cracked and one barrel of jet fuel punctured and tossed out. They now have a major problem with navigation. Lifeline solves the issue by cutting a deal with an ocean going pirate. He gives up his watch for a compass.
Back on the way, they run into two Russian Hind helicopters. An intense air to air fight starts. First, the Tomahawk has to avoid some wire guided missiles, then 20mm Gatling gun bullets, then air to air missiles. Wild Bill pulls an old trick. He lands and fires one of the two air to air missiles up at one of the Hinds. It misses. Lift Ticket takes them through some evasive maneuvers and into a canyon. In the canyon, the Tomahawk waits for the first Hind; Wild Bill fires a flare blinding the pilots, and then fires their last missile which destroys the Hind.
As they escape the canyon, the other Hind strafes the Tomahawk. Lift Ticket, Muskrat & Lifeline are injured, more JP-4 barrels are punctured and the engine is damaged. But Repeater, using his special mini-sabot, ultra velocity, Teflon coated, uranium depleted, titanium steel, armor piercing rounds of his gun is able to damage the Hind's engines.
Both choppers have to land. Repeater jumps out to chase the Russians away from their Hind and puts out the engine fire. Lifeline patches up Lift Ticket, Muskrat and himself, as Wild Bill and Repeater steal the jet fuel from the Hind. They take off to finish the mission.
Still having navigation problems and late to the scheduled pick up, they are concerned with finding the extraction site. As the sun rises, they see a huge fire that is the marking of the extraction point. The fires are left over from a battle. (See Special Missions #18) They pick up Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Iceberg and Chuckles.
Iceberg makes a joke about how for the last three months they have traveled over mountains, down rivers, through jungles, fighting bandits, dictators, the Chinese and Destro's legions and how easy it is for the flyboys. But this is all before he sees the injured Lifeline, Lift Ticket and Muskrat.
The October Guard, in an armored column, is doing research out on the Bering Strait. Wild Bill is flying over head with a Snowcat in the back of his C-130. Frostbite, Snow Job and Avalanche are ready to deploy. A weather report comes in that a huge storm is coming, so the deployment is scrapped. As they fly away, five Cobra Ice Wolves attack the Russian column. The only vehicle to survive is the lead one with Colonel Brekhov, Diana and Horrorshow.
Looking out the window, the Joes spot the smoke column and circle back to see what happen, they spot the Wolves as they depart. The deployment is on again and the Snowcat using a LAPES (Low Altitude Parachute Ejection System) system is dropped with the plane slowing down. Wild Bill flies away to avoid the incoming storm.
The Snowcat's heat signature registers and the Wolves fire their missiles. All of them miss but one that disables the Snowcat's top missile rake. Frostbite's effective driving then gets them in a position to fire a ski missile which destroys one of the Wolves. The huge snow storm catches up with the battle and turns visibility to nothing.
The out numbered Joes are helped by the October Guard who destroy one of the Wolves. Snow Job on skies destroys another and the remaining two Wolves race of south. The Snowcat and October Guard are able to track them by there heat signatures. All of sudden these heat signatures change and speed up but they keep chasing. Realizing something is funny, Frostbite slows down, and Colonel Brekhov orders Horrorshow to go faster. He pulls around the Joes and takes off, running directly off the edge of the ice into the ocean. Frostbite stops and saves the three quite frozen Guardsmen. Realizing they were tricked they head north to chase down the last two Wolves.
The Wolves request readmittance to their base. A Cobra Terror Drome busts up through the ice to receive them. A huge heat signature comes up on the Snowcat's radar and they fire there last ski missile. The missile gets lucky and shoots directly into the hatch the Wolves are entering, blowing up the entire Terror Drome. When the weather clears, Wild Bill returns to pick up the Snowcat and the October Guard get their own pick up.
Tunnel Rat, Airtight, Charbroil, and Spearhead and his lynx Max are in the New York City sewers following up on a report of Cobra activity. When they come around a corner they encounter Zandar, Buzzer, several Vipers and a Techno-Viper. A firefight opens up with the Cobras, but they quickly retreat as soon as they are finished installing a canister. Zandar calls his sister Zarana to report in about the contact with the Joe team. Airtight inspects the canister that is connected to a telephone line. The canister is labeled as a very dangerous nerve gas with multiple anti-tamper switches. Basically it can't be touched or it will blow.
The Joes decide to leave it and follow the wiring trail. They soon come into contact with a homeless community. A WWII veteran Sgt. Gamble is the main instigator in kicking the Joes out. Tunnel Rat is able to reason with him and asks him to lead them to the Cobra activity. Mumbling and grumbling the entire way, he concedes in order to get them out sooner. Leading the Joe team through a series of up and down tunnels, they come to a large open room that is directly under the central telephone exchange. A large tanker truck is in the room. The Joes are very concerned that this may also be filled with deadly gas.
Different Cobra squads are now reporting to this main area after having finish installing more of the nerve gas canisters. A squad comes up behind the Joes starting a brief firefight. Tunnel Rat saves Sgt. Gamble and Charbroil clears the way with his flamethrower. The Joes now want to get to the surface to call for reinforcements. Sgt Gamble leads them. They make it to an exit point, but Buzzer is waiting on the other side and drops a grenade down at them. As they scrabble to get away, Sgt. Gamble sacrifices himself by jumping on the grenade. But it never goes off, it was a dud, yet Gamble is dead. He died of either a heart attack or stroke saving the Joes lives. All of sudden the tunnel fills with a terrible smelling gas. The Cobras have blown the canisters. Airtight immediately checks his gages evaluating that it is just a stink gas, not the least bit harmful. It doesn't make any sense and the Cobras are nowhere to be seen. So the Joes go home to make their report.
In another part of New York City, Zandar and Zarana meet up. Zarana explains that the terrible smelling gas is a way of keeping the telephone employees out of the tunnels. Cobra has illegally connected to the main telephone exchange. They are able to make thousands of free calls and have set up numerous trailers with numerous operators selling numerous telephone scams all to make Cobra millions of dollars.
Chuckles, Hit 'n' Run, Lady Jaye and Shockwave are stationed outside a house in Iowa. Inside the house is a family being held hostage. FBI Inspector Saxon is briefing them on what has happened so far. The brief: 3 terrorists wearing masks shot up an airport using M-16s, most of the attack was caught on video tape before they killed the cameraman, 17 dead at the airport, one is a woman and the other has a very distinctive smile and they are currently holding the Bronsky family hostage as they wait for a pick up. The Bronsky family is new to the area so not much is known of them including what they look like. Inspector Saxon is in a hurry to solve this situation, so the Joe team is pressured into taking action before they know who the terrorists are.
Inside the house, Laszlo and Fatima are standing in the kitchen an M-16 is on the counter. Laszlo has a funny looking smile on his face, Fatima is European looking. Sitting at the table is an average looking man and woman named Bill and Mary. Upstairs, Erich is quizzing a boy, Mikey, about the surroundings. Mikey doesn't know much do to being new to the area.
The Joe team and Inspector Saxon begin planning a raid. They know that the guy upstairs is a terrorist and Hit 'n' Run believes he recognizes the smile of the guy in the kitchen as a terrorist. That leaves determining the female.
So the plan is for Shockwave to sneak into the upstairs, Lady Jaye will call on the house as a sales agent in disguise with Chuckles supporting her from the car and Hit 'n' Run will break in through the kitchen door.
Back inside the house, Mikey tells Erich that his father was a soldier in Vietnam. Downstairs, Laszlo is holding the M-16 in his hand.
Lady Jaye drives up to the house and goes to the door. Shockwave makes his way using the cover of the barn to the house then climbs up to the second floor. Hit 'n' Run sneaks around to the back of the house near the kitchen door entrance. At the front door, Mary answers. Lady Jaye speaking about make up products hands a written note to Mary that says "Play along with me. We are here to rescue you." Catching Lady Jaye by surprise Mary pulls out a gun and fires several times into Lady Jaye. Chuckles immediately opens fire on her as she closes the door. Shockwave busts into the room, easily taking out Erich. He asks Mikey about his father and mother. Mikey shows him a picture; Laszlo and Fatima are his parents. His dad has rictus, a facial nerve injury that gives the appearance of a permanent grin, it happened in Vietnam. Shockwave is very concerned that Hit 'n' Run will shot the wrong man, especially since Laszlo is holding the M-16. Mikey tears off down the stairs scream about his father. Mary intercepts Mikey and holds him at gun point. As Hit 'n' Run is approaching the house he hears Lady Jaye get shot, Shockwave take out his man and he kicks in the kitchen door. Laszlo drops the gun and screams "son stay back" and Fatima screams "leave him alone". Hit 'n' Run picks up on this very quickly killing Bill instead.
As the raid is happening, an airplane lands in the field near the house, it's the terrorists escape plane.
Mary still holding Mikey at gunpoint makes her way to the airplane. The Joe members along with Laszlo are watching this happen. Hit 'n' Run using his scoped rifle doesn't have a clear shot. The distance is about 300 yards and is very concerned about hitting Mikey. Laszlo grabs Hit 'n' Run's rifle gives Mary one last warning and takes her out with a head shot.
All is clear. Lady Jaye was wearing a bulletproof vest, she will survive but with a couple of broken ribs. It turns out that Laszlo was no ordinary Vietnam soldier; he was the chief instructor at the Marine Sniper School.
On the flight deck of the USS Flagg, the Joe team of Hit 'n' Run, Muskrat, Leatherneck, Tunnel Rat and Stalker are waiting for their mission. The mission is to capture El Jefe. He is being held by Destro's Iron Grenadiers and being moved to a new location, so the Joe team is sent in to ambush them in route. The new Joe recruit Scoop is tasked with recording the mission. They mount up and head out.
The regular Joes are very leery about taking a new recruit out on a mission. So on the chopper ride to the LZ (Landing Zone); they give Scoop a field education. He learns all kinds of new things like to carry two bandages, that he has to carry additional ammo and a rifle barrel for Tunnel Rat, which pocket the map and compass go in, how to adjusting his sling, to check every bullet to prevent jams, test firing his weapon before the LZ and that where his dog tags are really doesn't matter.
The team drops into the LZ. Using silent hand signals the team makes there way to the ambush site. Scoop's camera is too loud and he needs a lens hood but he keeps recording the progress. Along the way Scoop learns more: how to set claymores, not walk with a half filled canteen, to pass branches and reconstituted freeze-dried rations carry a scent.
They reach the ambush site at night after a day and half of hiking. Leatherneck, Muskrat & Hit 'n' Run take the packs to the withdrawal point. Stalker, Scoop & Tunnel Rat set up claymores in different directions to catch the Iron Grenadiers off guard.
Finally, they are step up and it is time wait for the enemy. Exhausted Scoop falls asleep.
The next moment Tunnel Rat is screaming at him to wake up. The ambush has been blown and the Iron Grenadiers way outnumber them. The claymores missed most of the soldiers and they have outflanked the team. The Joes immediately fall back. Scoop focusing on doing his personal mission is filming the battle and not fighting.
The Iron Grenadiers light up the night with flares. Hit 'n' Run is shot in the knee; Stalker helps carry him to the fallback point. Muskrat blows some additional claymores. Leatherneck fires his grenades. Tunnel Rat sets up at key cover spot, Scoop with the extra ammo and barrel joins him. Scoop continues to film as he feeds the ammo. Tunnel Rat is shot and before Scoop can do anything he is attacked by an Iron Grenadier with a knife. Scoop holds his own, gets in a few of his own punches, gets cut then punched and kicked in the head. Just before he passes out he smashes his camera onto the head of the Iron Grenadier.
About an hour later he wakes up in the back of a chopper. Hit 'n' Run and Tunnel Rat both will survive their injuries, the mission was a failure, the ambush a failure, they didn't capture El Jefe, in fact didn't even see him and Scoop's filmed footage destroyed but they all came out alive. And Stalker points out to Scoop that staying alive is all that really matters.
At a New York cross town rivals baseball game, the President and the First Lady are attending the game. The Joe team, chosen specifically by the President, is providing security. Hawk, Lt. Falcon, Hardball, Doc, Heavy Metal, Tunnel Rat and Zap are all posted around the stadium, Scarlett, Lady Jaye, Jinx and Cover Girl are undercover as part of the dance team.
The President throws out the first pitch and the game seems normal. In the Goodyear Blimp above the stadium, Cobra Commander (actually Fred VII) and Raptor are planning on kidnapping the President as a way of humiliating the Joe team. The plan starts with Crystal Ball hypnotizing Hawk, Lt. Falcon and the rest of the Joe team. Raptor has his falcons drop bombs that release a knockout gas. Most of the fans of the stadium as well as the President are unconscious. Zarana disguised as a ball girl and Firefly disguised as a hog dog vendor, wearing gas masks, race up into the stands and secure the unconscious President. The blimp pulls directly into the stadium releases a neutralizing gas and hoists the President up to the cabin.
The only Joes left to stop Cobra Commander are the female ones.
Cover Girl goes to release the rest of the team from hypnosis as Scarlett, Lady Jaye and Jinx run to the roof, where they are able to jump to the blimp. Busting in through the windows they start a big hand to hand fight. Lady Jaye knocks out Crystal Ball, Scarlett punches Zarana, Jinx kicks Cobra Commander, Lady Jaye misses Raptor and Firefly pushes Lady Jaye out the window.
Jinx and Firefly fight as Zarana has gotten Scarlett into a hold. Scarlett ends up tossing Zarana into Firefly.
With the entire stadium watching, Lady Jaye is fighting off one of Raptor's hawks as she hangs onto the outside of the Blimp's cabin. Using her knife, she forces the bird into the propeller. She calls down to Hawk for a smoke grenade. Hardball pitches the grenade to Cover Girl who hits it up to Lady Jaye. She then throws the grenade in the cabin. It is the cover Scarlett and Jinx need to get the President back in the sling and lower him to the ground. The Joes make it safe to ground with the President by the time the smoke has cleared. All of the Cobras then escape in the blimps, now detached, cabin.
Cobra Commander's plan to humiliate the Joes backfired miserably. The President awards the team with a special congratulation. And Scarlett, Lady Jaye, Jinx and Cover Girl are given a months leave with double pay and week in the Big Apple as special payment for saving the President of the United States.
In a warehouse in Brooklyn, New York, Special Agent Skip Bentsen-Barr has started a shootout with a group of terrorists from the L.S.D.F. (Lower Darklonian Separatist Front). GI Joe has sent in its Tiger Force to help support. Just as they are arriving two motorcycles break out with a suicide bomber named Horst clearing the way. Tiger Force takes off after the LSDF motorcycles.
Marta, Milos & Jerzy are the three on the motorcycles and each has 50 pounds of C-4 in their backpack, their mission is to deliver it to other terrorist cells around New York City. Dusty and Lifeline on a Tiger Paw are able to capture Milos as Marta and Jerzy escape. After questioning, Milos gives them the address of a condo in Manhattan.
In Manhattan, Alpine, Lightfoot and Jinx are following Noble Peetman, the seller of C-4 to the LSDF. He leads them in around about way to the Darklonian Embassy. Peetman is a known supplier of explosives and arms and he has diplomatic immunity.
Bensten-Berr receives information on the LSDF's target, the Natural History Museum. Bentsen-Barr conveniently forgets to inform the Joes about the bomber's target.
As Peetman leaves the Embassy, Alpine's team trails him to the same condo that Tiger Force and Bentsen-Barr are already staking out. Inside the condo, Marta and two additional LSDF members leave as Peetman arrives. Tiger Force follows them as they are on the way to bomb the Natural History Museum. Unaware of the upcoming attack, Tiger Force reacts quickly as the LSDF drives their Jeep right into the Museum. They start shooting at people and dropping bombs. Duke and Rip Cord chase them through the museum never firing back at the LSDF because of the civilians. Dusty and Lifeline on the Tiger Paw follow behind collecting the timed bombs. Once collected they drive out to Central Park and drop them in the lake. The chasing inside the museum causes lots of destruction to the exhibits and finally LSDF busts out of the museum through a large window. Waiting outside is Recondo in the Tiger Cat, who smashes into the Jeep ending the LSDF's attack on the museum. Also waiting outside is the news media, they were anonymously informed about the attack before it was to happen. Benston-Berr is onsite to take the credit for disrupting the attack. The anonymous tip came from Bentson-Berr.
Back at the condo, LSDF member Jerzy and Peetman watch the final part of the failed attack on the news. Jerzy realizes that Peetman informed on them and gave away the mission. Peetman then kills Jerzy as Jinx, Alpine and Lightfoot bust into the room to arrest Peetman. Once inside, the Joe team discovers a secondary attack that Peetman has planned. The school directly across the street was to be Peetman's target and his bomb is ready to go.
Because of his diplomatic immunity the Joes can't arrest him but they do detain him. As they are holding him they discover the connection to Benston-Berr.
Later at Benston-Berr's office, the Joe team shows up to release Peetman and his now ticking bomb. They lock Peetman and Benston-Berr in the office together with the bomb and walk away.
Busting into the main gate of Voltar's base camp in Sierra Gordo, the October Guard are on a mission to capture El Jefe. Colonel Brekhov, Stormavik and Schrage are driving a deuce and a half truck with explosives in the back, Diana is on the perimeter using her sniper rifle to take out the guards in the towers and Horrorshow has just set his timers on the explosives attached to the line of Demons.
As the tanks explode, it is the diversion that Col. Brekhov needs to gain access to El Jefe's bunker. They take out the guards and rescue El Jefe. Voltar orders his FANG II choppers to attack. Dragonsky, who has been hiding near the landing pad, uses his flamethrower to torch all of the choppers in mid-air. With most of Voltar's forces in disarray and destroyed, the entire October Guard escapes with El Jefe.
Voltar gives orders to the locals working for him to unpack the crates of unassembled parts which equal several jet packs and one Razorback. Amongst those locals are Recondo, Shockwave and Lt. Falcon. The Joes had been planning there own rescue attempt of El Jefe. They sneak out of the base to try and steal El Jefe from the October Guard.
In the cab of the truck, El Jefe is bragging about how he wants to be President of Sierra Gordo, so he can have total control and have it all for him not for the people. As they are driving over a train bridge and a train full of revolutionaries meets them. These are El Jefe's revolutionaries and they now are going to march to the capital with him to take back their country from Destro and Voltar. Below, the train bridge, the Joes climb up and sneak into the caboose.
Voltar's jet packs report back to him that El Jefe has connected with a train full of revolutionaries. Voltar sets up an attack at the up coming logging depot. The only way for the train to make it to the capital is for it to go around Voltar's ambush at the logging depot. Two switches need to be pulled to allow the fast moving train to pass.
Colonel Brekhov, Stormavik, Schrage and Horrorshow drive off the front of the train in their truck filled with explosives in order to clear the way for the train. Diana and Dragonsky are left behind to make sure El Jefe makes it to the capital city of Rio Lindo. The Joes, on the roof of the train spot some people that they aren't happy to see.
The October Guard in there regular deuce and half truck are charging right at a fully loaded Razorback. The small arms fire of the October Guard does little damage to the Razorback. The return fire of the Razorback does some serious damage to the truck, Colonel Brekhov and Horrorshow. With a dying engine, flat tires and a seriously injured Colonel Brekhov and Horrorshow, Stormavik and Schrage jump out of the truck in order to pull the switches to allow the train to clear.
The Joes make it to the front of the train, just as the train drivers' jump off the not wanting to be part of the revolution. The Joes speed up the train, but Lt. Falcon voices his opinion saying "although my heart just isn't in it anymore" referring to who they saw.
Back at the logging yard, Schrage is shot to death by the Iron Grenadiers but is still able to pull the first switch just as the train speeds by. Stormavik very close to the next switch is mobbed by several Grenadiers. Colonel Brekhov still driving the much damaged truck is approaching the Razorback. He looks over at a dead Horrorshow and wishes he was alive to see his last grand gesture. As the truck rams the Razorback, Brekhov drops a grenade in the back of truck, where the explosives cause a huge explosion that completely destroys the Razorback. Colonel Brekhov's self sacrifice clears the way for the train, as long as Stormavik can pull the last switch.
Stormavik having beaten at least ten Iron Grenadiers pulls the last switch just as the train approaches. Stormavik dies as he pulls the switch. Four members of the October Guard are dead as the train successfully makes it through the logging depot.
Diana, Dragonsky, the Joes, El Jefe, the revolutionaries/mercenaries and NABM (North American Banana Monopoly) representative Dilbert Swinson have just all witnessed the ultimate sacrifice of Colonel Brekhov, Horrorshow, Schrage and Stormavik. Their sacrifices meant nothing to El Jefe as he cuts a deal with Swinson. The deal is all NABM property is protected by his private army of mercenaries which have been masquerading as revolutionaries, nothing is nationalized and NABM executives can do what they want. In return, El Jefe gets more guns; money and support that he needs to keep Sierra Gordo a democracy and establish a strong Presidency
Lt. Falcon, Recondo, Shockwave, Diana and Dragonsky are detained by gunpoint.
At the Pit III, the Joe team is assigned cleaning details. Stalker, Quick Kick and Outback are sent on a mission to Mexico as tourists.
They are tasked with delivering some DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) paperwork to a Mexican government official then spend a week relaxing. They take a horse and carriage ride where the driver is there contact. Verifying the correct password, they pass of the paperwork and their mission is done. And it's time to relax.
The posh hotel, filled with beautiful women, they are staying in has a helicopter for getting people to the Mayan ruins. But Quick Kick and Outback chose to take the bus to go see the Mayan Ruins.
The bus is filled with tourists included on the bus are a librarian from Chicago named Octavia, an Olympic Champion Javelin thrower, a businessman, a mom and son named Davy. Davy has a toy water gun Uzi style and several firecrackers.
Back at the hotel, Stalker is relaxing by the pool watching a beautiful woman dive off the diving board. She seems to be staying underwater for to long. Stalker dives in and pulls her out. Attempting CPR, the woman kisses Stalker back in return. They plan a date for later that night.
As the bus is making its way back to the hotel, the bus driver is killed by gunfire. Outback jumps into action and stops the bus before it goes off the edge of the cliff. The People's Revolutionary Brigade of Mexico has just taken the bus as its prisoner. The businessman on the bus believes he can negotiate with them but ends up getting killed. In response, the Brigade leader, named Ignazio, orders the bus riddled with bullets. Everyone inside ducks as the bullets damage everything but injures no one.
Outback and Quick Kick do an inventory of the items they have to fight back with. The water gun Uzi, the firecrackers, gas from the bus and water bottles is all they can find to use to defend themselves. Using the firecrackers, they make the Brigade think they are armed, which keeps them at a distance. They make Molotov cocktails, fill the water gun and make a plan to attack the Brigade once it gets dark.
As the sunsets, Stalker is having dinner with Lydia but he is very distracted because Outback and Quick Kick haven't returned. Feeling as if he needs to go look for them he leaves the table with a steak knife.
Outback, Quick Kick and the Javelin thrower are sneaking up the cliff towards the brigade. With only two Molotov cocktails as real weapons the javelin thrower is given one and Outback the other. Quick Kick sneaks off to take out the Brigade members. The Javelin thrower chokes in mid throw as he is shot, Outback then throws both Molotov's killing three of the Brigade members. Outback is then shot.
Quick Kick using the water gun Uzi gets the drop on the remaining Brigade members. The water gun leaks which forces Quick Kick to use his martial arts skills to take out several of the members. But they are out numbered. Out of nowhere a helicopter comes crashing into the now empty bus. Stalker, having hick jacked the hotels helicopter with a steak knife, saves the day.
In Utah, the Joe shuttle launches in complete secrecy. Ace, Slip Stream and Payload's mission is to find the new Joe Stealth base, intended to be completely hidden. Using a new infrared detection system that can see through any cloud cover, they are scanning the country of Punta Del Muscosa.
In the Caribbean near Punta Del Muscosa, Hawk is giving a tour of the USS Flagg to the President of Punta Del Muscosa. He explains how the Phalanx guns and infrared flares are two of its many defense systems. The President has two bodyguards with him. A major rain storm has closed the flight deck for jet aircraft and the new Joe prop plane the Mudfighter is strapped to the deck. Lift Ticket takes Scarlett, Ghost Rider, Hawk, the President and his two bodyguards to the new Stealth base located within Punta Del Muscosa. This super secret base is almost finished, its camouflage is one of the last things to be finished but is currently already housing several Stealth planes.
Lift Ticket delivers them all to the base. Ghost Rider jumps out and begins the pre flight check of his Stealth fighter. Hawk begins explaining the base to the President as his questionable bodyguards follow them. The bodyguards Poncho and Cisco seem very nervous and they have every right to be they are working for Cobra. Cobra Commander has paid them a lot of money to place a signal tracer at the Stealth base.
In space, Ace is using a computer system to track all air craft in the air over Punta Del Muscosa. Filtering out the commercials airlines and scheduled flight, they are able to track one bogey.
In that bogey is Cobra Commander and Darklon, the Commander has known about the Joes building the base for some time. Punta Del Muscosa is a neighbor to Sierra Gordo and a Joe air base there is a huge threat. But Cobra Commander has avoided attacking it, waiting until there is actually something there to destroy. And now thanks to the signal tracer they finally know the exact location.
Cobra Commander launches two attacks at the same time, the first is sending three Python Conquests to attack the USS Flagg, the second is sending the new Cobra Condor bomber to destroy the Stealth base and its planes.
The Conquests flying under the Flagg's radar launch several missiles at the Flagg, only one gets through the defenses but it does cause damage to the catapults preventing any jet aircraft from launching. But the Mudfighter with Dogfight as its pilot launches to chase after the Conquests.
At the Stealth base, the Condor bomber with two Stilettos as its support starts bombing the buildings. Ghost Rider takes off and is the only plane to make into the air. Hawk discovers the bodyguards signal tracer ties them to a truck sticks the tracer in the mouth of one of them and sends them away from the mostly destroyed base. The Condor then drops a bomb on the bodyguards.
Dogfight is squaring off against the Conquests; he is able to destroy one very quickly and takes the other two into a dive trying to crash them into the water.
Ghost Rider is able to destroy one Stiletto, but still unable to stop the bombing runs of the Condor.
Up in space, Payload has been monitoring both of the air battles. Seeing his teammates out numbered, he deploys the Drone with Slip Stream as its pilot.
Dogfight's ability to turn inside of the much faster Conquests allows him to gun down his second Conquest.
The Condor is now chasing Ghost Rider as he chases the last Stiletto. In trouble, Ghost Rider is avoiding as best he can when all of sudden the Condor is riddled bullets causing it to crash. Slip Stream in the Drone has shown up to save Ghost Rider. In the confusion of the Condors destruction, Ghost Rider takes out the last Stiletto.
Near the USS Flagg, Dogfight has run out of tricks and is about to be shot down when the Conquest chasing him is destroyed. Dogfight looks over his shoulder to see Payload and the Shuttle. The Shuttle then lands on the USS Flagg.
